Basketball Arcade Game - Basketball Classic
Backboard shot masters, step up! Basketball Classic is a barnstorming free-throw basketball shooting game where you fire basketballs from a cannon at a moving basket target. Set in an enclosed, skeeball-style arcade environment, you have to show expert timing skills to ream off awesome basketball shots under immense pressure. Featuring three distinct game modes, your goal is to increase your ‘fame’ as a basketball star by completing a range of tricky challenges within each different mode (Tournament, League, and Knockout). Timing is the key skills here – you need to tactfully release your shot from the cannon at exactly the right moment – any slip-up, and you’ve got no chance of sinking it! How to Play: There are three different game modes – Tournament, League, and Knockout. In Tournament Mode, you compete against 4, 6, or 8 teams in a round robin format. The team that wins the most match-ups is the Champion. In League Mode, you play a once-off game where you have to score more baskets than your opponent in 20 shots. Knockout Mode is a very difficult ‘survival’ challenge where you have to score as many baskets as you can in a row (once you miss, the challenge is over).
The controls are the same in all game modes - Maneuver your basketball-firing cannon using your computer mouse or touchpad, and Left Click to shoot. The baskets move from left-to-right or from right-to-left across the game screen. Your score is indicated in the top right corner of the game screen, with your opponent’s score (in League and Knockout Mode) indicated in the top left corner. You only have a certain number of balls in each match (displayed in the bottom left corner of the play zone). You earn ‘Fame Points’ for completing challenges and progressing in tournaments. The more Fame Points you earn, the more awards you receive from the Basketball Classic Hall of Fame!
