Visual Board Game Puzzler - Virus 3
Take over an entire grid in as few moves as possible in this strategy-based, color-changing puzzler! Virus 3 is a challenging visual and skill-based, problem-solving brainteaser game for kids where you must methodically take over a whole grid by ‘infecting’ adjacent blocks with a ‘virus’ (color) until the entire area is dominated by a single color. Using careful, step-by-step actions, take control of the grid by choosing the most advantageous color each time you switch viruses. Virus 3 also offers three different board shapes to choose from, as well as nine different layouts for each shape.
Skills required: This tricky visual puzzle game provides a stern exercise of your mental toughness and stamina; high levels of focus, concentration, and determination are required here. Color coordination skills are essential as is your ability to make strategic in-game decisions.
How to Play: A Flash-based, visual puzzle arcade game for notebook, laptop and desktop PC / Mac (with certain browsers). In each level, your task is to grow your ‘virus’ step-by-step until it covers the whole play area. The grid is separated into hundreds of small, colored blocks (squares, triangles, or hexagonal pieces, depending on your choice). At the beginning of the level, you control just one block – indicated by the dot in the center of it. Each time you change ‘virus’ color, you gain control of any adjacent blocks of the new color that you have just selected.
Complete the entire takeover of the grid in as few moves as possible. In the first level, you have either 40 or 35 ‘moves’ to complete the job, and this number reduces by one as you progress. You can choose to play with three different block types: Square, Hex, and Triangle. Each blocks type has two different grid layouts, and you can then choose whether to have 5 or 7 different colors displayed.
Using your computer mouse or touchpad, Left Click on the color you want the blocks to change to from the icons in the bottom right corner of the game screen. When you do this, each block under your control (the blocks with dots) change to the new color, and they also ‘assimilate’ (take over) adjacent blocks of that same color. Complete the takeover / infection of the entire grid within the permitted number of moves in order to progress to the next level.
