Gym Business Tycoon Game - Jenny's Fitness Center
Play the role of a qualified fitness trainer and manager in your own brand spanking new gym! The big question is - can you make a success out of it? Jenny's Fitness Center is a point and click, business management-based tycoon game for girls and boys where you take over the running of a busy, customer-filled fitness center. You play as General Manager Jenny, and must race around the gym floor directing customers to various stations, planning their workouts, collecting payments, and more in this fast-paced, multi-tasking entrepreneurial environment!
As an online business simulation challenge, this game requires a range of real-life skills and business basics including the importance of great customer service, really hard work, managerial strategy, staff team cohesion, perseverance, and more. Quick reactions and visual awareness are also important here as you try to quickly satisfy each customer's wishes.
This tycoon challenge could also be played as good practice exercise for anyone interested in one day working in the fitness or hospitality industry, or any budding young entrepreneurs out there who think they have what it takes to set up their own unique enterprise. How to Play: Each level acts as a ‘Game Day’, and your goal is to earn enough money to hit your virtual income target for each ‘day’ (indicated at the bottom of the play area). When customers enter your gym, they have a bubble above their head, indicating which piece of equipment they want to use (treadmill, weights, skipping rope etc). Using your computer mouse or touchpad, Left Click on the customer, and then click on their chosen area.
Once you reach the workout area, the customer asks you to set a weight / pace. For example, on the treadmill, you must choose Mild, Medium, or High, depending on the customer's preference. Once customers have finished their workout, they move to the front desk. Click on this desk to collect a payment.
If you accidentally bring a customer to the wrong workout area, he/she becomes disgruntled, and immediately leaves the gym building. Likewise, if you keep a customer waiting for too long, he/she leaves (A customer's impatience is indicated by the colored bar above his/her heads. When this bar runs empty, the customer leaves the gym). If you fail to reach your monetary target by the time all customers have left, you fail the level, and must replay that ‘Day’.
You can use virtual income earned to purchase upgrades for your fitness center. Click on the ‘Shop’ icon in the bottom right corner of the play area to access the various furniture, staff, and equipment upgrades. Good luck and enjoy your working day!
