Free Interactive Typing Game - Amusix Flute

Rating: 8/10 - 1631 votes

Are you ready to put your musical talents and fast typing skills to the test? Amusix Flute is a fun and clever, interactive music-based typing game where you have to type along to the tune of classical flute music as fast as you can. You play the role of the flute player. Every key that you hit corresponds to a musical note in the tune that is being played as you practice your typing skills. You start off with slow, easy-to-play typing tasks – but as you progress, the tunes and your typing speed get faster and faster.

This unusual but challenging educational game will really test your quick reactions, as you have to quickly move from note-to-note on your computer keyboard. It’s perfect for anyone with an ear for music, as the game revolves around flute playing. Are you ready to bring the house down as the next Beethoven? Fingers at the ready – it’s typing time!

How to Play: This is a music and sound-based game, so make sure the speakers on your computer are turned on. In each level of the Normal game mode, (click ‘Start’ on the main menu screen) you have to play a tune by typing out the letters that appear at the bottom of the game screen. You have to hold down each corresponding key long enough to play the full note. Once you start playing a note – the letter icon will quickly start to fill up in green color. Once it fills completely, quickly move onto the next letter – and so on until the end of the tune. If you’re typing is precise, and you get most of the letters correct, you progress to the next tune.

However, if you repeatedly hit wrong letters or don’t play the notes for long enough, you’ll have to replay the level. See how many of the 30 increasingly-difficult levels you can master. There are also other game modes – Free Play Mode and Melody Editor. In Free Play Mode, there is no set music, you can just freely type away and hear the corresponding notes. In Melody Editor, you can create your own cool music, and show them off to your proud friends and family!
