American Football Quarterback Game - Ultimate Football
Do you think you could handle the unique pressure of playing the role of a virtual quarterback? Well, there are very few positions in team sports anywhere that are as important as the quarterback to produce a winning outcome. The spiritual heartbeat of an American Football team, the QB is the integral cog in the fast-passing wheel that makes every team tick. Ultimate Football is a straight-forward football quarterback passing game where you have 5 minutes to throw as many successful (complete) passes as you can to your down-field teammates (e.g. wide receivers and running backs). Playing as the QB, you have to swiftly position yourself in line with your receiver, and time your throw to perfection in order to hit its target, and score points toward your total. The catch is that you only have 5 available footballs, so make sure to keep interceptions or incomplete passes to a minimum!
This fun and addicting ball game is a good simulation of the in-game challenges and big pressure plays a real-life quarterback faces. You need good observation skills and expert timing in order to pick out a free receiver, and top-class technique in order to complete the pass successfully. How to Play: The objective and controls of the game are simple: You have 5 minutes to throw as many complete passes as you can in order to score points towards your total in the top left corner of the game screen. Your quarterback stands in the foreground facing the play, and has to pass the ball to any one of the three hard working receivers that constantly crisscross the field at different distances from the QB. Use the Left and Right Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard to control the movement of your QB, and press Spacebar to throw the ball.
If you complete a successful pass to the nearest of the 3 receivers on your team, you score 50 points. The middle receiver scores 100 points, and the farthest receiver scores a massive "200 points". You have 5 footballs (lives) in total. If you throw an incomplete pass that reaches no one, you lose one life, as indicated by the football icons at the top of the play area. However, if you accidentally throw an interception to a player in yellow, you lose 25 points from your total (but you don't lose a life in this case). The game is over if you lose all 5 lives, or if the 5 minute clock in the top left corner reaches zero. If this happens, click ‘Play Again’ in the bottom right corner, and try to beat your previous total (or your "lucky" friend's score)! Enjoy the action and sound effects!
