How to Play: A Flash-based math activity and sliding tile puzzle game for notebook, laptop and desktop PC / Mac (with certain browsers). Once the game loads, choose ‘1 Player’ or ‘2 Player’ mode from the options on the main menu screen. In 1 Player mode, you control the tiles with the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard. In 2 Player mode, the player controlling the grid on the left uses the WASD Keys while the player controlling the squares on the right uses the Arrow Keys.
Your goal in 2048 is to continuously ‘double-up’ the number tiles until you create / display the maximum 2048 tile. You start off with small numbers (2, 4, 8..) on a 4X4 grid, and must attempt to keep combining and doubling those tiles to create bigger numbered tiles. Depending on whether you're playing 1 or 2 Player mode, use the Arrow / WASD Keys to slide the tiles in the direction that you want. If two identical tiles collide as a result of your move, they merge to form the double of that number. For example, if you slide two 8 tiles together, the resulting tile is a 16.
Keep combining and doubling tiles, trying to create as high-numbered a tile as you can. You score points toward a total for each combination created. This total is indicated above your 4X4 grid. If you fill your grid completely with no possible matching moves remaining, it's game over. Enjoy the challenge!
