Fun Geometry Math Game for Elementary - Slice Food
Use accurate mouse clicking and shrewd geometry skills to slice food into equal-sized (or close-to-equal-sized) parts in this fun, math-based slicing game for elementary or middle school age children interested in learning about geometry in a fun way. Slice Food is a straight-forward yet challenging, geometry-based brain teaser where your task is to carefully cut food items into equal segments by drawing lines with your computer mouse. In each of the 24 increasingly-difficult levels, you must be left with the target number of equal sized pieces after making all of your slicing moves.
Reasons to play: This fun and tricky math and visual-based puzzle game provides a good test and exercise of your knowledge of fractions and geometry (the area of mathematics that deals with points, lines, shapes and space) and proportion skills, your analytical thinking know-how, visual judgment and more. Accurate mouse skills is also required. This game can also be played as a fun learning aid for encouraging trial and error, and enhancing the skill of learning from your mistakes (as you may likely have to repeat some tougher levels more than once).
How to Play: A Flash-based, interactive geometry-based puzzle game for notebook, laptop and desktop PC / Mac (This game currently does not work on IE11 browser, but should work for you on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge).
In each of the 24 progressively-challenging levels, your task is to slice the food items into equal-sized proportions (or close-to-equal-sized) – with your final number of pieces matching the target number displayed at the top of the play area. You must use all of your ‘line moves’ – even if you figure out a shortcut, you must make the required number of slices as indicated at the top of the play area.
Using your computer mouse or touchpad, Left Click and drag across the plate to draw a ‘line’ across the piece of food, and release the click to make the slice. If you hit the target number of remaining pieces in the moves allowed, you progress to the next level. If you get stuck, or fail in your efforts, click on the circular arrow button in the top right hand corner of the play area in order to re-start the level. Enjoy the slicing challenge!
