Fun Maze Game - Scooby Doo, Curse of Anubis: Pyramid of Doom
Scooby Doo is undoubtedly one of the most beloved cartoon characters in history – but there’s no doubting at this point that he is an absolute scaredy-cat! Even a slight gust of wind causes the lovable pooch to cower in fear! Unfortunately for Scooby and his equally-petrified buddy Shaggy, they’ve managed to get themselves lost deep in the catacombs of an ancient Egyptian pyramid – and they need your expert help to escape! Scooby Doo, Curse of Anubis: Pyramid of Doom is a challenging, platform-based maze game where you have to strategically push blocks out of the way in order to reveal a path to an exit door in 10 increasingly difficult levels. The catch is that Scooby and Shaggy can only perform a certain amount of steps in each level, and if they exceed this maximum number of steps, the spooky ‘Ghost of Anubis’ rises up, and gobbles away one of their game lives! Yikes!
This tricky online maze adventure should prove a good fit with avid online puzzle fans, and those of you who like to try out unusual maze-based games with a fun ‘brain teaser-style’ twist. Strategic planning is the key to success here as you try to map out a sneaky path through each ‘room’ which results in Scooby and Shaggy taking as few steps as possible. Be careful not to back the terrified duo into a corner by moving the incorrect blocks. Put your problem solving abilities and logical thinking skills to good use by mapping out a suitable short route through each maze. How to Play: In each of the 10 increasingly difficult ‘rooms’, your goal is to maneuver Scooby and Shaggy (they move as one) to the ‘Exit Square’ on the opposite side of the room. The Exit Square is located under an arch-like doorway, and the path to it is usually blocked off by large, movable blocks. The maze is divided up into many different squares, and each time Scooby/Shaggy move to another square, you lose one ‘step’ from the Step Meter in the bottom right corner of the game screen. You must reach the Exit Square before the Step Meter runs out; otherwise the Ghost of Anubis appears, and snatches away one of your lives!
Control Scooby & Shaggy using the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard. Strategically push the movable blocks around the maze to make the shortest path through. Look for areas where you can push a block into a corner, and then still move past it once it is out of the way. In later levels, there are quick-sand pits that must be avoided. If you get stuck, click on the ‘Reset’ button in the top right corner (but bear in mind that this costs you one life). You can see how many lives remain in the top left corner next to the icon of Scooby & Shaggy’s faces.
