Good Tic-Tac-Toe Strategy Game - vs Friend or Computer
Play a highly-strategic version of Tic-tac-toe against a sharp computer opponent or a best friend / family member! Strategic Tic-Tac-Toe is a very good, quirky one or two-player version of the simple ‘Noughts and Crosses’ game where you must line up three Os or Xs in a row on a 3X3 grid before your opponent does. However, in this more complex version of tic-tac-toe, there are nine 3X3 grids in play at the same time! To become the champ, you must prevail in three whole grids in a row!
Skills required: This fun and challenging, interactive visual puzzle & brain teaser for kids and teens requires really good concentration, quick-fire analytical thinking skills, and fast reactions. The virtual computer opponent is not the most advanced player – but is certainly quick to capitalize on any errors that you make. Whether you are playing against the computer or in a two-player matchup against a friend, you need to be thinking ahead at all times, trying to out-maneuver your opponent through good strategy - without making glaring mistakes of your own!
How to Play: A Flash-based, tic-tac-toe puzzle game for notebook, laptop and desktop PC / Mac (with certain browsers). In Single Player Mode, you always mark the grids with an X, and the computer marks the grid with an O. In Two Player Mode, Player 1 marks the grids with an X while Player 2 uses Os. When it is your turn, simply click in the box you want to make your mark using your computer mouse or touchpad.
There are 9 grids in total, spread out in 3x3 formation – just like each individual grid. Think of the overall play area as one big game of tic-tac-toe, with each ‘grid’ acting as a box in the overall game. Your ultimate task is to win three grids a row - diagonally, horizontally, or vertically. Each individual grid is its own mini-game. You are actually playing 9 games of tic-tac-toe simultaneously!
The grid that you are allowed to mark next is determined by your opponent's previous move. For example, if your opponent makes a mark in the top left of the Center Grid – your next move has to be anywhere in the top-left grid. When you ‘win’ a mini-grid, your mark (X or O) is scrawled over that entire grid. If one of the grids ends up as a draw, it is simply scribbled over in grey ink. If neither player wins a 3 grids in-a-row, the match is declared a draw. Enjoy this challenging brain teaser!
