Amateur golfers dream of playing in Augusta, St Andrews, Pebble Beach, and other iconic golf courses around the world.... However, why settle for mere earthly courses when you can go one better, and play an awesome version of virtual golf in outer space! Gravitee 2 is a truly out-of-this-world physics and skill-based game where you play golf on a series of planet-filled ‘holes’ based in a far off region of space. With the ball thwacking and thumping off planets, and reacting to all sorts of objects, you get an unconventional sporting experience that is very similar to the wacky and unpredictable nature of mini-golf. Controlling your ball can be quite tricky as you have to take the mass and gravitational pull of each planet into account as well as the power, angle and trajectory of each shot. This fun and eccentric 1-player online golf-based game requires good judgment, pinpoint accuracy, plenty of patience, a steady hand, and a whole heap of trial and error to get into the swing of things! Be prepared for the wildest drive of your life!
How to Play: There are 40 increasingly difficult levels (or holes) on this vast golf course in outer space. There are 4 different types of levels – ‘Hoops’, ‘Pick-ups’, ‘Points’, and ‘Competition’. In Hoops Levels, your goal is to get your ball through as many of the Hoops (rings floating in space), and Gates (rings attached to planets) in as few shots as possible. In Pick-ups Levels, your goal is to collect as many green balls (Pick-ups) as possible using your own white ball. In ‘Points’ Levels, you have to score as many points as you can by collecting Pick-ups, putting the ball through Hoops and Gates, and creatively bouncing the ball around as much as possible. Finally, in ‘Competition’ Levels, you have to get your ball through a series of four Gates in as few shots as possible (under par).
To take a shot, click and drag away from your little white ball using your computer mouse or touchpad. A dotted blue line appears, and acts as your aiming guide. The power and distance of your shot depends on how long you stretch the dotted blue aiming line. When you are happy with where you are aiming our shot, release the click. Hopefully your ball goes through Gates and Hoops, collects Pick-ups, and scores points etc., depending on the type of level you are playing (Each level type is indicated on the large star-based level select screen).
Each level has a different ‘Par’ amount of shots - indicated in the top left corner of the game screen. If you fail to complete the level within your allocated number of tries, you have to restart that level. The gravitational pull of each planet alters the course of your ball while it is traveling; Keep this in mind when you aim! If you overshoot your target, the ball flies off into oblivion, and goes ‘out of bounds’. Good luck out there!
