Submarine Treasure Hunt Game - U-Boat
Underwater submarine-piloting skill and upgrade game with treasure plundering action! U-Boat is a straight-forward arcade game where you must reach a target number of points against the clock by collecting special colored treasure chests from the sea bed. Utilizing your vessel's retractable grabbing arm, you must scoop up specific colored boxes while dodging and weaving around dangerous creatures such as sharks, squid, and sea horses!
Skills required: In this easy-to-play, online submarine-based upgrade game, fast reactions and tactful movements are paramount. Keeping in mind your boat's oxygen levels and the threat of hull-destroying collisions, you must decide when and where to dive down for the special treasure chests. Decision making skills are also important; you must calculate the risk of going for an awkwardly-positioned box versus searching in other areas. Try to remain cool under pressure – but remember, the clock is ticking!
How to Play: A Flash-based, skill and action game for notebook, laptop and desktop PC / Mac (with certain browsers). In each increasingly-challenging level, your task is to reach a ‘goal target’ of points by collecting special colored treasure chests from the sea bed. The chest color to be collected is displayed at the top of the game screen – but this changes often, at random. If you reach the target by the time the clock in the top right corner reaches zero, you progress to the next level.
Control your U-Boat / submarine's movements with the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard. Press Spacebar to launch the retractable arm from the bottom of your boat – This is the only way to collect treasure chests. Each time you collect correct-colored chests, you earn points toward your target. However, if you accidentally collect an incorrect chest, points are deducted from your score.
Keep an eye on your Oxygen Bar in the top left corner of the play area. If you see this running low, return to the water's surface to replenish the Oxygen Bar. If you run out of oxygen while still below the target, you fail the level. However, if you run out of oxygen while above the points target, you progress. Avoid collisions and contact with sea creatures at all cost! A bite from a shark greatly decreases your oxygen levels. Contact with a squid's ink scrambles your control system. In between levels you can use points earned to purchase upgrades (longer hook, increased oxygen tank, faster boat speed, etc).
