Physics Stacking Game - Woodwork Builder: The City
Play a tricky block-stacking construction game & physics-based puzzle that requires a deft problem-solving approach: Woodwork Builder: The City is a challenging, drag-and-drop construction game for older kids & teens where you must fill in an outlined area (on the screen) with a red block. This game also plays like a hidden crane operator simulation activity because the mouse control action and the movement and swing of the objects (blocks, beams and columns) very much feels like you are handling a crane jib control tool.
This game requires good visual awareness, analytical thinking and creative engineering skills, combined with steady mouse control and patience to carefully figure out the best way to create a firm structure or solid support tower that stays upright and provides a platform for your final (red) block to be placed.
This fun, problem-solving activity should prove a good exercise for fans of interactive construction puzzles and physics brain teasers. Ok Master Builder, pop on your hard hat, and let's get to work!
How to Play: In each of the 25 progressively-difficult levels, you must eventually place the red-colored block into the highlighted red-outlined area. This outlined areas is usually suspended in the air, and you must first build a supporting tower in order to create a solid platform for your red block to be placed.
Using your computer mouse or touchpad, Left Click and drag any of the available objects (blocks, beams or columns) into position, and release your click to ‘let go’. Use this drag-and-drop (crane operator-style) process until the red block is carefully positioned into the outline. Once this is deemed successful, you progress to the next level.
In later levels, you can join two blocks together by double-clicking on the area where the two blocks touch off of each other. This is useful for creating more solid structures that don't topple easily due to gravity. Enjoy the challenge!
