Fun Mini Car Racing Game - Foofa Race
Foofa Race is a game that should put a wry smile on your face. This is an extremely challenging and intense mini-car racing game where simply being a slick driver is not enough. You also need to be adept and blasting and blocking your opponents using an array of wacky weapons. Set on a series of winding dirt tracks, and featuring a classic ‘overhead view’, this is one action-packed driving game that will certainly have you on the edge of your seat. Unlike many run-of-the-mill racing challenges, here you get the chance to ‘play dirty’ by firing rockets at your opponents, freezing them in their tracks, spilling oil onto the circuit, and generally causing as much mayhem as possible!
This cheeky fun mini-car game is delightfully reminiscent of iconic racing titles such as Micro Machines and Road Rash. Being a ‘racing renegade’ can really work to your advantage as you try your mischievous best to put your opponents off the road with well-placed obstacles and ferocious firepower! Although creating carnage is absolutely essential here, good keyboard skills are really important as you still need to carefully control your car around the many tricky corners. Can you strike a correct balance between smooth cornering and absolute chaos? It’s time to take naughty driving to a new level! Good luck out there on the treacherous circuits!
How to Play: There are two distinct game modes to choose from ‘Quick Race Mode’, and ‘New Cup Mode’. In Quick Race Mode, you take part in a ‘once-off’ race against three other computer-controlled racers on one of 6 challenging courses. In New Cup Mode, you take part in three consecutive ‘Championship-style’ races where you score points for high-placed finishes. The driver with the most points after 3 races wins the cup. There are 3 increasingly challenging cups, and you have to win the first cup to unlock the second cup, and so on. When you begin playing the game, there are only 3 available characters, but more are unlocked as you progress.
While racing, use the Arrow Keys on your computer keyboard to control your mini car. Up Arrow = Accelerate; Down Arrow = Brake & Reverse; Left & Right Arrows = Steer (alternatively, you can use a more unorthodox combination of the AZOP Keys, but we recommend using the Arrow Keys, especially for beginners). As you zoom around each circuit, pick up gift-wrapped boxes along the way. These boxes contain weapons and power-ups that can be used against your opponents. These include homing missile rockets, oil spills, freezing agents, giant love-heart obstacles, and more. Simply press Spacebar to use your most current weapon. At the top of the game screen, you can see how many laps remain (the lap count changes depending on the level). Below this, you see your character’s race position. Try to blast and block your way to that coveted Checkered Flag!
Note: Although it may be tempting to cut across the track and take a short-cut, do not attempt this as you will be penalized! If you cut across the track and miss the turn, that current lap is not registered as complete until you finish another full circuit.
