Pixmania is a straight-forward yet addicting & fast-paced skill game for kids, teens and nostalgic grown-ups based on a simple concept; You must control a solitary pixel, dodging and weaving around a large grid while collecting Gold pixels and avoiding Red ones (in a race against the clock to score as many points as possible). Pixels are basically the building blocks of everything you see on a classic raster graphics computer game screen. In Pixmania however, your concern is a single controllable pixel in a hectic skill-based & survival activity where quick reflexes, fast reactions, and sharp observation skills are the key. The gameplay is similar in style to classic 1980’s arcade games where quick reflexes, sharp reactions, good observation skills and time management are the key. Set aside your fancy HD 3D games for another day – it’s time to take a trip into the not-too distant past and experience what video gaming was like in the early years!
How to Play: Control the White Pixel (little square) using the Arrow Keys or the WASD Keys on your computer keyboard. Your goal is to collect as many Gold Pixels as you can before the clock runs out or you lose all of your Health. The Gold Pixels appear in random positions around the game grid, and you simply have to come into contact with one to collect it. Collecting a Gold Pixel adds points to your total in the top left corner of the game screen, and also adds two valuable seconds to the clock. You begin the game with 20 seconds on the clock, so you’d better get collecting as fast as you can!
Each time you collect a Gold Pixel, a new Red Pixel randomly appears on the grid, and moves quickly from one side to the other. Avoid these Red Pixels at all costs, as impacting with one reduces your Health Bar in the top left corner. Your White Pixel’s Health Bar can withstand 3 collisions with Red Pixels, but after the 4th – it's game over. Blue Pixels are Bonuses that appear intermittently. Collecting a Blue Pixel gives you random upgrades and boosters such as extra time extensions, bonus points, and replenished health.
