Klondike Solitaire Card Game for Mobile / Android / Tablet / PC

Rating: 6.8/10 - 6 votes

Play a classic, wild west-themed solitaire card game on mobile phone, tablet, notebook, laptop or desktop PC: Solitaire Legend is a fun, free-flowing, virtual solitaire game for children and adults where your ultimate goal is to stack all 52 cards in numerical order, divided by each suit, from Ace to King. Also known as "Klondike" in the U.S. & Canada and "Patience" in the UK, this simple version of solitaire features classic gameplay where you must stack alternate color cards downwards, and then onto the ‘Ace pile’ as often as possible!

Skills required: This interactive, strategy-based card game requires focus, determination and stamina. You may not get ‘out’ every single time but a few savvy problem-solving tricks should help your chances! A willingness for trial and error often pays off in solitaire – where you can learn from your mistakes and apply changes in the next round. As with most card games, a generous slice of luck is always welcomed!

How to Play: This classic-style solitaire game should work on iOS and Android devices, as well as web browsers for PC / Mac. To play the game with full screen, you may have to turn your device horizontally. The ultimate goal in solitaire is to get ‘out’ by stacking all of the cards onto the four foundation (Ace) piles at the top of the game screen. A ‘perfect game’ ends up with 4 piles of 13 cards, divided into suits, stacked in order of Ace 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Jack Queen King.

However, before you can do that, you must stack cards downwards on the seven ‘Tableau’ columns that are dealt out in the center of the play area. Cards on the Tableau section must be stacked in descending numerical order, and also be alternate colors (For example, Red King, Black Queen, Red Jack, Black 10, and so on). The remainder of the cards that are not dealt into the Tableau columns are put into the ‘Base’ deck in the top left corner of the game screen, from where you draw new cards when there is no play available from the Tableau / Ace piles.

Simply click and drag (on laptop / desktop) or tap and swipe (on mobile / tablet) to maneuver the cards around the play area. Double clicking / double tapping will automatically move cards onto the Ace piles – if there is a valid place available. If you get stuck and wish to start a new game, click or tap on the settings icon in the top left corner, and then click or tap on the circular arrow icon. In the settings area, you can also change the layout of the cards, and whether the Base deck sends out one card at a time or three cards at a time.

Note: Advertisements may pop up on your game screen from time to time. To continue with the game, click or tap on the ‘Skip Ad’ button near the bottom right corner of game screen.

Before you submit an error report, please review these common issues & solutions:

  • Ask for help on Learn4Good Games Discord Channel
  • Note: If the game is taking a while to load, please press Ctrl and F5 buttons on your keyboard at the same time to refresh the page without local cache. If some advertisements get stuck - try to reload the page once or twice.
  • Try using a VPN or Proxy service in case you are having a problem with Blocking or Connection Reset or see that Game does Not Load properly.
  • If you see a GAME BLOCKED message or if a game does NOT LOAD in 3-5 minutes even after page refresh - this is not blocked by us. Please speak to school/office administration or your network provider. They are blocking it.
  • If the game DOES not FIT the screen (part of the game area is below above the browser) - see the GO FULL SCREEN button just at the right above the game. This should solve it.
  • Make sure that Javascript is Enabled in your device browser.
  • You may only see a blank screen / or no game screen at all if advertisements are in any way restricted on your browser.
  • Make sure that No Ad Blocker is enabled on your browser (Many game developers only income source is through ads, so they don't make the games available if ads are blocked).
  • Even if your Ad Blocking software is disabled, it may cause an issue with loading an HTML5-based game.
  • You need a High Speed internet connection because some games use large files which take a minute or two to load for the first time.
  • Some games require you to tap/click on the game screen area when they load in order to start.
  • Playing on a different device or browser (with different settings) can often solve the issue.
  • Games are not available in all jurisdictions outside of the USA.
