PowerPong is a fun and challenging Ping-Pong (table tennis) game where you compete against the computer in a fast-paced online version of the world-famous indoor and Olympic sport. Defeat your opponent by hitting the ball past him to score points with your Ping Pong paddle. Rebound the ball over the little net, and try to get your rival scrambling to return it back. Compete against increasingly difficult opponents, and show off your tremendous table-tennis tricks!
Your quick reactions will really be tested in this addicting online ball sports activity, as you have to quickly move your table tennis racket (paddle) around the screen. You also have to be precise in your movements, as only shots that are well-timed and accurate will score points. Add power and spin to your shots to really give your opponent something to think about. The fast and furious action will have you on the edge of your seat as you try to defeat all-comers to become the Ultimate Ping-Pong Champion!
How to Play: There are three difficulty levels for you to try out – 1, 2 and 3. It is recommended that you start at Level 1, as the controls can take a few minutes to get to grips with. Control your paddle using your computer mouse. It mimics (follows) the movement of your cursor. To increase the power of your shot, Left Click as the ball comes toward you. It is best to use a mouse rather than a touchpad as you can add spin to the ball by using the mouse roller (if using a touchpad, use the A and Z keys on your computer keyboard to add spin). Each game is up to 11 points. Score a point by: 1) hitting the ball off the table and past your opponent; 2) forcing him to miss the table with his shot; or 3) forcing him to hit the ball into the net. Each rally is automatically served (started) by the player who won the previous point.
Although the game is up to 11 points, you have to win by two clear points. So if the game is tied at 10 – 10, someone will have to win 12 – 10, or 13 – 11, and so on. The scoreboard is located in the bottom right corner of the game screen. Tip: Try to add side spin to your shots by moving the paddle in front of the ball just at the last moment. This is a dangerous tactic however, as you can easily miss the ball and lose a point. But if you pull it off, your opponent is in big trouble! Go for it!
