COPPEAD Graduate School of Business:
The COPPEAD Graduate School of Business - The Graduate School of Business Administration of the Federal University of Rio of Janeiro/UFRJ - was created in 1973, and since then has been developing the highest standard and up-to-date center for advanced studies and research activities in Business Administration in Brazil. COPPEAD's graduate courses - Master's and Doctorate's degrees, and Executive Education Programs - have been preparing executives, consultants, faculty and researchers of renowned competence, contributing to the excellence of Brazil's human resources.

The Full-Time Master in Business Administration Program
COPPEAD's Master in Business Administration Program provides students with an integrated business perspective, following full-time MBA models adopted by the best North American and European business schools. The program aims to form high level professionals capable of understanding and performing effectively in the global economic and business environments. Students are prepared to be team players and to engage in decision-making based on the most up-to-date concepts and techniques. In order to meet the needs of business practice education supported by academic knowledge and to provide students with a solid business vision that runs across different functional areas, the program has a strong practical, participant-centered approach, making intense use of case-based discussion complemented with simulations, business games, field studies and participation in consulting projects.

This two-year tuition-free program is taught in Portuguese and requires full-time dedication on the part of the MBA students, who are afforded the opportunity to participate in the international exchange program. Selected students typically spend one semester in partner schools abroad.

Students of this program may choose one of the following areas of concentration: 
- Finance and Managerial Control
- Operations, Logistics and Technology
- Marketing and International Business
- Organizations, Strategy and Information Systems.

Global Partners MBA
The Global Partners program is a 14-month, full-time international MBA, in partnership with the Robinson School of Business of Georgia State University, U.S.A., and the IAE - Institut d'Administration d'Entreprises of Sorbonne University, France, with classes in the U.S.A., France, Brazil and China.

Specialization Programs:
COPPEAD's specialization programs are aimed at forming and upgrading executives. Courses are oriented towards high ranking managers in private and state-owned companies, government agencies and other types of organization.

Within a one-year program, classes are scheduled on a once-a-week full-day basis in order to allow participants to combine their studies with regular professional activities.
