Social Skills Training - Ontario Summer Camps
Main Street Community Services:
Main Street Community Services is a not for profit community agency working in partnership with other community organizations to provide comprehensive social and health services. Using a pro-active and cognitive-behavioural approach to learning, our Social Skills Day Camp in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada enables children, ages 5-14, to develop satisfying interpersonal relationships by enhancing skill proficiency in a variety of areas that foster social competency.
Counselling is provided to individuals and families experiencing personal, social or familial difficulties. Through a research-based approach, the primary focus is on improving the quality of an individual's or family's functioning and life satisfaction. This service may involve enhancing established coping skills, learning new ones, or even coaching an individual through difficult times.
Mentoring For Children & Youth:
Research has proven that mentoring can improve the quality of a child's life through building self-confidence and positive self-esteem. Our innovative mentoring program provides opportunities for skill development and healthy relationship building with a highly qualified, trained and experienced mentor. Mentors are specifically chosen to meet their unique needs. They act as role models, advocates, friends or someone simply to talk to, either one-to-one or in a group setting. The mentoring program also allows parents and care givers a chance to watch their children and youth build and learn skills geared towards healthy relationship building, personal development, school-based skills and other essential skills needed throughout life.
Our Staff:
All staff are university/college educated and trained (including dedicated Developmental Service workers, Social workers and Teachers) with several years of direct experience in this field. The Director, a clinical counsellor and a behavioural specialist are on hand always and have a Master’s level of education.
Through out each camp session children will be provided a fun, safe and therapeutic environment where their individuality and uniqueness is respected and nurtured. Each child will be provided opportunities for: Sports, Martial Arts, Arts and Crafts, Cooperative Activities, Swimming, Relaxation, and much more.

The Huntsman Marine Science Centre is located in the historic resort community of St. Andrews by-the-Sea, New Brunswick, Canada. We have been providing insightful, hands-on marine science programs to students of all ages since 1969.
Since 1998, International House Vancouver has offered unique, educational, and fun English language (ESL) summer programs for young learners to suit every need, budget and language ability. In Vancouver, we offer a Children's Adventure Program (CAP) for children ages 5-12, suitable for mother & child or family study.
We also provide a Homestay Junior Program for 13-17 year olds, as well as a Residential Junior Program on the campus of the University of British Columbia for 9-17 year olds.
These programs are affiliated and held to the standards of Languages Canada, the IHWO, and AILIA, organizations that insist on the highest degree of educational excellence.
We ensure the quality our classes with teachers who are qualified in both language instruction and working with children and young adults. With a range of programs on offer, we can provide the best choices to fit most any need.
We also offer a Winter Junior Program for kids ages 13-17 from late December to mid February.

Located 45 minutes west of Edmonton, Alberta, Camp Warwa provides summer camp programs and outdoor education for kids and teens from Grade 1 - Grade 11. Accredited by the Alberta Camping Association, we are dedicated to offering an exceptional summer camp experience to all our campers, with programs for all ages available every week of the summer.Our camp facilities are situated on a 23-acre paradise on Lac Ste. Anne, 80 km west of Edmonton. Campers are divided into age specific groups: Pioneers, Explorers, Voyageurs, Adventurers, Anake, and Counselors-in-Training (CIT). A wide range of activities are offered including Survival Skills, Archery, Climbing Wall, Kayaking, Drama, Crafts, Nature, and more!

Located on the shores of Bobs Lake in Westport, near Ottawa, eastern Ontario in east-central Canada, Long Bay offers summer camps specializing in visual arts, drama, music and dance camps for children and teenagers aged 9-16. Our camp program involving drawing, painting, mask making, sculpting, photography, drama/theatre, rock guitar, African dance and creative writing includes instruction from wonderful and talented art teachers who are specialists in their artistic field. Your children will explore their creativity, learn new skills and make new friends, all in a fun, safe and beautiful camp atmosphere. Our summer sessions are designed for young people of all backgrounds whether they have experience or are just beginning to discover the world of art. Long Bay Camp takes pride in its well-cared-for facility that allows campers to explore nature in a safe, natural environment. Along with the cool arts program, campers will have opportunities to participate in field sports like soccer, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, to enjoy campfires, nature hikes, swimming and canoeing. Game Creation and Technology Summer Camp provides summer week-long programs for campers ages 7-16 during the months of July to August. Programs are offered in the areas of 2D and 3D Game Creation, Graphic & Web Design, 2D & 3D Animation and Video Editing. The camp runs in the Teens Computer School Office at 4544 Dufferin Street in North York in Northern Toronto. The camp runs from 9 to 5.30 Mon-Fri excluding holidays.At the Game Creation Summer Camp, our goal is to provide a FUN, INTERACTIVE & MEMORABLE experience for your child. The instructors for this camp are technology professionals who are committed to providing a rewarding learning experience through a wide array of activities.
Our technology curriculum is presented in an age-appropriate format. Instruction is specifically geared towards the age and abilities of our students.
Programs are offered in the areas of 2D and 3D Game Creation, Graphic & Web Design, 2D & 3D Animation and Video Editing.
