This is the intensive English course option, and therefore our most popular. Morning lessons focus on grammar and skills and afternoon lessons, students can take Cambridge, TOEIC, IELTS exam preparation classes or choose from options which change every 2 weeks. Options include specific skills development (listening, pronunciation, reading and writing)

ENGLISH EXAM PREPARATION COURSES
We are a Cambridge ESOL Examining Centre. We offer the following exams on site:

- Key English Test (KET)
- Preliminary English Test (PET)
- First Certificate in English (FCE)
- Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
- Certificate in Proficiency in English (CPE)
- Business Language Testing Service (BULATS)
- Teaching of English for international Communication (TOEIC)

We can also assist in arranging examinations in other centres for example:

Exam Preparation groups are available in IELTS, FCE, TOEIC, BULATS, CAE and CPE. Students wishing to take exam preparation courses should enrol on an LS P30 or BEB 30 course, or LSP10 if you are unable to make morning lessons.

We can offer preparation programmes for other exams on request, usually in private 1-2-1 lessons.

STATE SCHOOL PLACEMENT

inlingua Cheltenham has established a close relationship with numerous state schools who are willing to take well educated students from overseas onto their normal courses for students aged 15-17. The schools offer a full curriculum for students who have the language level to cope with year 10 (15 year olds) and year 12 (17 year olds) These are the first years of GCSE and A Level preparation courses - not the exam years of year 11 and year 13.

All accommodation issues are dealt with by inlingua Cheltenham.

Students need to attend a preparation course at inlingua Cheltenham during the summer months of July and August in preparation for the start of school in September.

inlingua Cheltenham has a vast amount of experience in dealing with young adults who are required to achieve an IELTS or Cambridge language level before entering an English public or privateschool for their GCSE or A level study programme.

This course not only allows the student to improve their language level for entry to private or public school, but also to study acadmic subjects and content necessary for the entrance test and for a taste of what is to come when you start school.

Students usually stay for this course for 3-9 months - but obviously the length of time spent here is based on their language level.

SEW - SPOKEN ENGLISH FOR WORK (TRINITY COLLEGE LONDON)

The SEW examination is for anyone over the age of 16 whose first language is not English. These examinations are intended to assess a students Oral skills in communicating in English in a working environment.

The exams are offered at four levels, form level 1 -4. Elementary to Advanced. The content of the course covers a wide range of subject matter and tasks which arise in a variety of real life working situations.
