The Language House School of English:
Founded in 1996, The Language House is a Government recognised School operating all year round in the D2 district of central Dublin. The Language House School of English provides a warm and friendly environment in which to study, just a short walk from National Museum and Trinity College.
General English
- The course is designed to give you an excellent understanding of the workings of English
- The course will increase ability in use of each of the key areas of speaking, reading, listening and writing
- The first two morning sessions emphasize grammar, structure and vocabulary acquisition
- The second session focuses on developing practical communication through speaking, listening and pronunciation practice.
Intensive Course - Speaking

- Afternoon classes focus purely on speaking practice
- Increase ability in speaking and conversation skills
- Increase accuracy of pronunciation
- Increase confidence and fluency in applying spoken language to different situations (registers)
Intensive Course - Business

- Afternoon classes focus on language of the commercial world
- Increase ability in using appropriate language for different business situations
- Language skills targeted are speaking, writing, reading and listening
Intensive Course - Examinations
- Aims of morning classes as for our General English G20 course objectives
- Afternoon classes focus exclusively on Examination Preparation
- Key Examinations prepared: TIE, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC and the Cambridge Examinations suite (FCE, CAE, CPE)
- Aim to prepare fully for chosen exam on our full 12-week programme
- Examination skills developed cover all key aspects of language (speaking, listening, reading, writing)
International Summer English
- The Summer Programme is designed give you an excellent understanding of the workings of English
