DLTC English & Foreign Language School:
The DLTC is an English & foreign language school based in the beautiful seaside town of Dun Laoghaire, just 20 minutes from Dublin, the capital of Ireland. DLTC offers a wide range of full and part time English language courses to foreign students of various levels, needs and ages. All our English classes focus on communication skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) as well as English grammar, but a special emphasis is placed on language production - you won't learn a language if you don't use it!

All our language teachers are well experienced and qualified to Department of Education & Science required standards, as well as having years of experience teaching English as a foreign language both in Ireland and abroad. So whether you want to improve your general English or prepare for Cambridge exams such as the First Certificate, CAE or IELTS, we have the experience to help you succeed.

Host Family Homestay Accommodation:
The most popular option for students wishing to learn English. Stay with a local family in the Dun Laoghaire area as part of the family. This is great value as all meals (breakfast, (packed) lunch, and evening dinner) are included! The homes are all located within 30 minutes of the school either by walking or by bus.

Social Programme:
Students are welcome to enjoy our social acitivities. Each Tuesday afternoon there is a free activity or event. Either a lecture with the school Director about Ireland, its history, its culture, etc; or a walk with one of the teachers in some of the most beautiful parts of Dublin and its surroundings - often these walks finish up in a typical Irish pub for some refreshments! The walks and lectures are a great way to improve your English, ask questions about Ireland, and meet other teachers and students. Each Friday after class students are invited to a local bar/café to enjoy a coffee or beer with teachers and students from other classes. From time to time the school organises additional acitivities and visits .. some visits have included Irish dancing nights, Irish pub music nights, Guinness factory tours, Newgrange tours, National Museum, National Gallery and Chester Beatty library visits. During the summer we also enjoy 6-a-side football games among students and staff on local all-weather football pitches.

The DLTC is situated in the affluent seaside town of Dun Laoghaire in Dublin, Ireland. Situated on several bus routes and right beside the DART commuter train station, students are only 20 minutes from Dublin city centre to the north and 20 minutes to Bray to the south. Ireland is famous for its green and mystical landscapes. What better way to relax after attending your English course all morning, than to spend some time relaxing among grassy fields, mountains, lakes and rivers. Irish airlines Ryanair and Aer Lingus offer low-cost flights from many destinations around Europe, flying directly into Ireland at Dublin Airport. The DLTC English language school is only 45 minutes from Dublin Airport by direct express bus.
