Christian Boarding School for Troubled Teens in Northern California
River View Christian Academy, San Bernardino County:
River View Christian Academy (RVCA) is a fully accredited, private Christian residential boarding school for troubled teens ages 13-17, located in the mountains of Northern California. Our program for teenagers is aimed at helping troubled teens by providing firm but loving intervention, interactive education and life skills training.
Boarding School Program for Troubled Teens Ages 13-17:
All high school levels for grades 6 through 12. The curriculum we use is home school-based and published by Alpha Omega Publications.
Please keep in mind that if a teen does not match the qualifications for this program, Teen Rescue, Inc. will assist parents in finding a program that will work.
Teen Rescue can coach parents and protect the family from getting taken advantage of or going in a direction that may be detrimental to the child's care.
There is no charge for this service. Donations are appreciated but not a requirement. Parents will not even be asked for a donation. Teen Rescue is here to help the families that call us.
Qualifications for River View Christian Academy

The Athenian School is a co-educational independent college preparatory school in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. The school is located on a beautiful 75-acre campus at the base of Mt. Diablo, in Danville, Contra Costa County. Sunset Bay Academy is a co-ed therapeutic boarding school located in San Ysidro, 20 miles south of San Diego, California. We offer a three-phase therapeutic program dedicated to supporting troubled teens ages 12-17 and their parents in acquiring the needed tools to restore hope and create healthy relationships within their families. Our core focus is working with struggling teenage boys and girls to generate long-term sustainable behavioral change.

Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Oregon and across the United States.In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).
TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.
We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.
With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.
We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.
Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.
