Portland State University - Intensive English Language Program:Portland State University is Oregon's largest university, offering more than 120 areas of study. Over 24,000 students attend PSU, including over 1000 international students from 90+ countries. Founded in 1964, the Intensive English Language Program (IELP) at Portland State University is one of the oldest university-based ESL programs in the western USA. Each term between 150 - 225 students, from over 20 countries, attend the IELP.

The IELP helps students improve English and prepare for university level coursework, as well as for personal, business, travel, or general purposes. PSU is located in the heart of beautiful downtown Portland, a scenic, green, clean, and safe city, with a population of 1.8 million people. Students can easily walk or take public transportation everywhere. No TOEFL score is needed for admission to the IELP or for admission to PSU.
The IELP is offered as a 5-level program (beginner to advanced). Fall, Winter & Spring term courses (11 weeks), and in Summer (8 weeks).

Southern States University (SSU) is a private American university founded in 1983 which has 3 campuses in Southern California (in San Diego, and Newport Beach, south of Los Angeles).
