Middle School (Grade 7-8)
The Middle School curriculum stresses skill building in a nurturing environment that encourages self-discipline and imagination. The development of mind, soul, and body unfolds within a framework of Christian values under the watchful care of a committed faculty.
The Middle School prepares students for the challenges they will face in the Upper School program, where they will continue the college preparatory process.

Upper School (Grade 9-12)
The Upper School program is designed to provide opportunities to develop the mind in all its facets: analytical, imaginative, and ethical. A student’s powers of expression mature and flower: the essay, public speaking, visual and performing arts.
While community values and rhythms gain resonance with each passing year, students realize that their contribution to and growth from this remarkable community is dependent on their own commitment and sacrifice to its Christian principles.
Leadership opportunities that put the needs of others before one’s own abound; these put a premium on cultivating the imagination in creative ways to serve one’s fellow students. The Upper School environment of increasing development of mind, personal expression, and personal responsibility to oneself and others is an outstanding preparation for college and life beyond.
Advanced Placement:
It is generally expected that Stony Brook students will graduate with at least one Advanced Placement course, while 30-40% of our students graduate as AP Scholars, successfully completing three or more AP exams, with a score of three or better.
We offer: Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, English Literature, European History, French, Latin, Physics, Physics C (with Calculus), Political Science, Psychology, Spanish, Statistics, Studio Art, and United States History.
Boarding Programme:
SBS is home to approximately 180 boarders every year. Our desire is for our students to learn and grow as they live together in a safe and comfortable community.
There are currently 7 single-gender residential halls that house our boarding students and approximately 14 to 15 faculty families. The remainder of the faculty live in the homes that surround our 55 acre wooded campus

Located in East Hampton and Bridgehampton, on Long Island, New York, Ross School is a private, accredited, day and boarding school offering a Grades 7 - 12 boarding option in addition to a K-12 day program. For students entering Grades 7–12 who live outside eastern Long Island and want to attend Ross School, boarding options are available in family-style housing with faculty house parents.

Located in Amenia, Dutchess County NY, The Kildonan School is an accredited, co-educational day and boarding school for children and teenagers with dyslexia and language-based learning differences. Only 90 miles north of New York City, we offer educational programs for elementary, middle and high school students (Grades 2-12). Boarding programs are available for students in grades 7-12, with 5-day & 7-day options available.
Our mission is to empower students with dyslexia by increasing their self-esteem and motivation. Students often come to us from educational experiences where they struggled to find success because that environment did not recognize their potential and/or know how to meet their needs.
Kildonan uses a pure Orton-Gillingham approach, which is an instructional approach intended primarily for use with persons who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing of the sort associated with dyslexia.
