Founded in 1796, Oakwood Friends School is New York State's oldest co-educational boarding and day school. We are an independent college preparatory school serving Grades 6-12 located in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County in New York's historic Hudson River Valley. Our Day Program runs for all students from grades 6-12, while our Boarding Program serves students in Grades 9-12.

Situated in Houghton, Allegany County in western NY state, Houghton Academy is a Christian boarding and day school enrolling students in Grades 6-12. Most boarding students at Houghton Academy live in one of the two residence halls. Both dorms offer a secure, traditional residential setting. Two students most often share a room, there are shared common areas for relaxation and recreation, and the buildings are staffed by full-time employees.
An alternative to or traditional dorms is found in three Staff Houses we own close to school. These homes serve as the full-time, traditional residences of our employees families, but each house has been configured to accommodate students.

Freedom Village USA, Lakemont NY

Freedom Village USA is a residential home for troubled teens and young adults (ages 14-21) situated in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of western Central New York. Our boys and girls commit to a year in the program, where they find love and encouragement from experienced staff, a self-paced academic curriculum to prepare them for the future, and myriad opportunities to learn, grow and give back.
Many of our students have been involved in drug and alcohol abuse, have attempted suicide, or lived in abusive home situations including physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Some have turned to lives of crime after their families and society abandoned them.

Located just 50 miles from New York City in Hightstown NJ, Peddie School is a private, coeducational, college preparatory boarding and day school offering Grades 9-12. Pioneering the use of wireless technology and a discovery-based science program, the school has increasingly seen its mission as leading the future of American education. Our academic program continues to transform itself and grow in meeting the demands of an ever-changing world.
Ninety percent of our faculty and their families live on campus, acting as role models and also getting to know students as individuals. Twice each week, family-style dinners bring the students, adults and children of our community together for a meal and conversation.
While day students are free to make use of dorm lounges for studying or relaxing, there are also several options for free time - including the library, the Masland room, and a variety of study and lounge areas around the campus.

The Stony Brook School, Long Island

The Stony Brook School, located in Stony Brook (50 miles East of NYC), on the beautiful north shore of Long Island, New York, is a college preparatory, co-educational boarding and day school for grades 7-12. SBS is home to approximately 180 boarders every year. Our desire is for our students to learn and grow as they live together in a safe and comfortable community. There are currently 7 single-gender residential halls that house our boarding students and approximately 14 to 15 faculty families.
