Whitehouse Institute of Design:
Founded in 1988, Whitehouse Institute of Design is a design school in Australia with centrally located campuses in the heart of Sydney, NSW and Melbourne, Victoria. Acknowledged for its high standard of design education, the Institute offers a three-year Bachelor of Design degree course with specialisations in Fashion Design, Interior Design and Styling & Creative Direction.

We offer a Bachelor of Design degree course at both the Sydney and Melbourne campuses. It includes integrated core and specialist units, focusing on Fashion Design, Interior Design or Styling and Creative Direction as areas for specialisation.

The three (3) year degree is underpinned by a learning culture which insights innovation and creativity, built on academic imperatives as the foundations for life long learning, and a love of design. Integration of design knowledge and design practice is an imperative of the course.

The degree provides a sound general education and fosters personal growth and the establishment of an individual design identity. The course offers a student a nurturing and progressive learning experience through four strands of study: Design Context, Design Communications, Design Methods and Design Synthesis.

We also offer:
An accredited Vocational and Education Training (VET) in Schools Certificate II program is available for Year 11 & 12 students in NSW and VIC. Design Beginnings Workshops in drawing, illustration and design presentation are offered during school holiday periods for all ages from secondary school onward.

Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia is a private education provider and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with the New South Wales Department of Education and Training (DET) and Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority (VRQA) offering the qualification Bachelor of Design with specialisations in Fashion Design, Interior Design or Styling & Creative Direction.

Whitehouse Institute's vocational courses are accredited by the New South Wales Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB). These qualifications include: Certificate II in Fashion Visualisation, Certificate II in Interior Decoration & Visualisation and Certificate II in Style Visualisation.

Facilities are light and spacious and commensurate with those required by freelance designers working to industry requirements.

These include design studios, pattern-making and garment construction facilities and equipment as well as a computer lab which incorporates both Computer Aided Design and Graphics.

Traditional and audio visual teaching aides and resources are fully utilised and flexible exhibition and gallery spaces are also available.
