St. Alphonsus Elementary School, located in the growing City of Central, just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a Catholic elementary school offering Pre-K through Grade 8 programs. St. Alphonsus offers a Christ-centered environment that teaches Gospel values and instills within its students the realization that each student is unique in his or her own way. St. Alphonsus Home and School Association:
The purpose of the St. Alphonsus Home and School Association is to promote communication, good will and cooperation among parents, faculty, administration, school board and the parish of St. Alphonsus. It also provides leadership and coordination of activities for the purpose of service, special functions, educational programs, and/or fund-raising. Each family is a member of SAS Home and School.

Extended Care:

Morning Program:

Before Care is from 6:45 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. In this program the students can work on homework, play games, or watch a movie. They may also purchase breakfast from the cafeteria. Carpool begins at 7:45 a.m

Afternoon Program:
After Care is from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. This program has three basic components: snack, indoor and outdoor activities, homework is offered to students in grades 2nd - 8th grade. Along with our adult workers we also have high school and college students who work with this program in the afternoons.
