Pre-K - 8th Grade Programs:

Preschool:

The philosophy of the Preschool is bound by our commitment to moral education and citizenship training. The emphasis is on helping children develop socialization skills within a loving, caring environment. We provide time for children to explore, create, question and play while assisting them in becoming more independent and helping them work toward a positive self-image and a sense of responsibility.

Lower School:
Lower School moves with increased emphasis on basic academic skills. These skills are taught through an integrated approach to help children make valuable connections, and cooperative spirit is encouraged through the interactions within small group work. The curriculum is broadened with many special subjects. Clear expectations are stated for the students, and an atmosphere of risk taking is created. Our students are highly motivated and ready for the challenges that each new level presents.

Middle School:
The learning strategies program is an integral part of our Middle School program. The program is designed specifically around the needs of students and allows faculty to intentionally teach organizational and study skills within the framework and content of their current studies. In grades five and six, students have a learning strategies class weekly taught by the Middle School learning specialist.

Students begin each class going over daily and long term assignments in their plan books. Students are taught specific study strategies. In all grades the direct teaching of organizational and study skills is emphasized. As the children move from grade to grade, extra help and the proper use of the plan book continue with the hope that students will become more independent learners and become more at ease in becoming advocates for themselves.

Extended Day Program:
All students of Trinity's Preschool and Lower School have the opportunity to use The Cottage after school for fun, snacks, creative time, and study space. Families may use this program on a drop-in basis or on a contract basis. The Cottage program is available following dismissal at 3:20 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. each school day.

ASAP (After School Activities Program):
This program grew out of a desire to better meet the needs and interests of students and their families for after-school activities. The courses offered address the academic, creative, and social interests of students. The program runs on a six-week basis and is offered four times during the school year. Classes generally follow dismissal at 3:20 p.m. and last until 5:00 p.m.

MASH (Middle School After School Study Hall):
MASH is our Middle School Afterschool Study Hall. It is supervised daily by a faculty member. Students have a healthy snack, have access to laptop computers, their lockers, their books and materials, and assistance from a teacher following dismissal at 3:20 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
