The Sprachenatelier ("Language Studio") in Berlin is an international center for language learning, cultural exchange, and the exhibition of art. We bring together individuals active in promoting intercultural communication as well as provide artists from around the globe with an environment in which they can learn languages, and display their art work. Supplementary to our German courses we offer courses in more than twenty languages, organise festivals, readings, concerts, exhibitions, workshops and seminars. All of our skilled teachers in DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache - German as a foreign language) are well-trained at German universities.

Founded in 1971, Akademie für Fremdsprachen GmbH is one of Berlin’s leading language schools ideally situated in the centre of the western part of the city, ten minutes from Berlin Zoo Station. Our school has a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere and offers a wide range of German language courses, from regular day classes to more intensive courses and one-to-one tuition. We provide the entire range of proficiency levels, from beginner through to advanced.

Our school is a recognised centre for a number of Cambridge and London Chamber of Commerce examinations and prepares candidates for professional qualifications in translation. Our German courses usually run in sequence, progressing from one level to the next. However, we do also offer our students the opportunity to take an external examination: Deutsch als Fremdsprache (DaF).

Learn German in Berlin with Carl Duisberg Centren! We provide a range of quality German language courses to adults from around the world. Our courses include Intensive German, Business German and preparation for German language exams. In addition, we offer summer German programs for children and teenagers.

Before you start the course, you will take a language test that determines your level, and you will then be put into the appropriate course level. In general, courses for beginners start every three to six weeks, whilst participants with previous knowledge of German can start a course on Mondays.
