OAA is owned and operated by the Arkansas-Louisiana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and is fully accredited with the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges, and Universities, and by the Arkansas Nonpublic Schools Accrediting Association.

Boarding Life:

Choosing Ozark Adventist Academy for boarding school years is a choice of belonging to a school family with a special mission and commitment. Boarding students live in the residence hall on campus with separate dormitories for boys and girls. Usually a student occupies a room with one other student.

Usually a student occupies a room with one other student. As a member of the dormitory, each resident should respect the rights of others. Each student is expected to help keep his/her room clean and neat.

Girls´ Dorm:
Each room includes its own climate controls and private closets with suite-mates sharing bathroom facilities between two rooms.

Boys' Dorm:
Completed in 1998, the new boys' dorm has room for approximately 100 boys. There is central air-conditioning, bathroom and showers in each room.

Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics

Situated in Oklahoma City, The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM) is a prestigious two-year residential high school (Grades 11 & 12) designed to educate academically gifted high school students in advanced mathematics and science.

OSSM was created through legislative action in 1983 and graduated its first class of 44 seniors from across the state in 1992. The school currently has 71 juniors, 63 seniors and an ultimate enrollment estimated at 300.

OSSM is located on a 32-acre campus in Oklahoma City, just south of the State capital and across from the medical and research facilities of the Oklahoma Health Center. Classes are held in Lincoln School, a renovated Oklahoma City public school, and students live in a residence hall that was completed in early 1998.

Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)
Courses / Programs
Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Arkansas and across the United States.

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

We create a customized program for each student that requires a minimum of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment.

TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
French Camp Academy

Located 80 miles north of Jackson, Mississippi, French Camp Academy (FCA) is a private, Christian coeducational boarding school for children from 1st to 12th Grades. Established in 1885, FCA is accredited through the Mississippi Department of Education.

We are a joyful Christian community that provides young people and families from all over the country an opportunity to heal from difficult circumstances at home, school, or in the community.

Although FCA is not considered a therapeutic boarding school, it just may be the place that you are looking for if your child or teen is in need of an affordable and alternative Mississippi boarding school.

Our educational program is balanced, Christ-centered and academically excellent. It includes academic classes, vocational training, radio communication skills, an observatory, a full sports program, and an active music & arts program for Grades 7-12.

Change Academy Lake of the Ozarks

Change Academy Lake of the Ozarks (CALO), located in Lake Ozark, Missouri, is a specialized adolescent residential treatment setting for boys & girls (ages 12-18). At CALO, we with work a small window of student issues focusing specifically on issues of emotion, attachment and trauma.

At CALO, relationships are the primary change agent. All treatment is connected to and motivated by relationships. Relationships with family, CALO staff, and CALO peers are what drive change.

Transferable Attachment through the care of purebred Golden Retrievers is a key, cutting-edge treatment aspect of our program. Where clinically appropriate, students have the opportunity to “foster and/or adopt” a Golden Retriever. All interactions with this canine are used therapeutically.

CALO is accredited by the Joint Commission through their Behavioral Healthcare Accreditation Program. and licensed by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division as a residential provider.

CALO is an approved private agency through Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Agape Boarding School, Stockton
Courses / Programs
Located in Stockton, in Cedar County, southwest Missouri, Agape Boarding School is a non-profit boarding school for troubled and at risk boys in Grades 6-12 that specializes in a college preparatory program with AP courses, SAT and ACT along with a behavior modification program.

For the young man whose relationship has been destroyed with his parents, we help to repair and rebuild that relationship.

Instead of the student quitting or resorting to the "easy" solution, the staff at Agape work with these young men in order that they may find the right answers to their problems. The minimum stay in twelve months. We are accredited by the State of Missouri.

Students live in our new four-story dormitory building with 32 completely private shower stalls, bathroom facilities to accommodate 28 students at a time, and 160 individual student closet areas.

We have recently added a brand new basketball gymnasium with two separate workout areas. For outdoor events Agape has a swimming pool and a multi-use field with a baseball diamond in the southeast section. Students are able to play intramural flag football, soccer, and baseball during free time.

Subiaco Academy

Nestled in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains and the Arkansas River Valley in Logan County, Arkansas, Subiaco Academy is a Catholic Benedictine college preparatory and boys´ boarding and day school for Grades 8-12. We offer college prep courses (ACT, SAT) as well as advanced placement courses.

We serve young men who respond well to small classes, a structured environment, and a strong sense of community. For over 120 years, Subiaco's methods have been proven to better prepare young men for college and for life. Seniors at Subiaco have a 100% college acceptance rate and more than 80% of the seniors typically receive scholarships.
