Shane Global Language Centres:
Shane Global Language Centres offer English courses for adult students in our accredited English schools in Central London and Hastings, UK. Hastings is only 1.5 hours drive from central London and less than an hour from Brighton. Our English language courses include General English, private English lessons and preparation for the IELTS & TOEIC exams. In addition to our year-round English courses for adults, we offer a Teenage Activity Program in Hastings during the summer months.

English Language Courses in London & Hastings, UK

General English Courses (10 / 15 / 20 / 25/ 30 classes per week):
The objective of these courses is to improve all your language skills, and give you the opportunity to practise these skills outside the classroom for work and in your daily life. You can combine General English with private lessons and specialised classes such as Communication Skills, Grammar and Skills, IELTS Preparation and English for Work (Business English).

- Communication Skills - The focus is on speaking and you will improve your pronunciation, fluency and vocabulary.
- Grammar and Skills - The focus is on grammar and using it correctly.
- IELTS Preparation - IELTS is probably the world's most recognised English language test. This class will fully prepare you for the IELTS exam.
- English for Work (Business English) - The course is designed for students who want to work while they are in the United Kingdom and improve their career opportunities when they return home.

IELTS Exam Preparation:
This course is for students who want to study at university in the UK. Universities require an IELTS score of 5.5 or above as proof of academic competence in English. IELTS Preparation can be combined with a General English Course as a midday or afternoon option. This course will help you to improve your English language skills, help you to get ready for the exam, focusing on the four exam skills and strategies and practise examination strategies and take regular "demo" tests.

TOEIC Exam Preparation (15 lessons per week):
Many international companies require job candidates to have a TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) score to prove their level of English. Most organisations require a TOEIC score of 600.

Private English Lessons (One-to-One):
These are individual, one-to-one lessons planned for the student's needs. They can be combined with general classes and are a good way to focus on problems the student has in English. The school can provide a teacher to work on specialised English related to specific industries, like the chemical industry, steel industry or aviation, or for specific academic preparation, e.g. the German Abitur exam. 

Private Lessons (One-to-One) are perfect for you if:
- You want to do as much as possible in a short time
