London College of Fashion: London College of Fashion (LCF) is part of the University of the Arts London and the only college in the UK to specialise in fashion education, research and consultancy. Foundation Degree Course in Hair and Make Up for Fashion: If you would like to work as a make up artist in the fashion, lifestyle or editorial industries, this two-year innovative, industry-led, foundation degree may be the course for you. You will investigate and develop the necessary practical and theoretical skills to become a make up artist for the catwalk and fashion print media. You will develop technical, application and professional skills alongside creative and conceptual initiatives. Through a number of practical and theoretical assignments, you will also gain an understanding of fashion as a cultural product.
Career Prospects:
Students leave the course with a portfolio of images and work that showcase their skills as a make up artist. Successful graduates have found employment as make up assistants within fashion promotion, editorial, film and television.
Further Study:
Once you have completed the FdA Fashion Make Up, with a merit certification, you will have the opportunity to be interviewed for the Honours degree programme at London College of Fashion. You will need to complete a bridging programme before the top up year and on successful completion of the bridging programme and the top up year, you will graduate with a BA (Hons) Fashion Hair and Make Up (subject to validation).
The Cheltenham School of Drawing & Painting is a small independently run school located just a five minute walk from Montpellier in the Lansdown area of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, southwest England (near Gloucester). The Cheltenham School of Drawing & Painting offers day, evening and weekend courses in Fine Art including drawing, painting watercolour, life drawing and sculpture. Fashion Antidote is a small independent fashion school and studio based just off Brick Lane in East London. Our emphasis is on teaching fashion related subjects and specialising in courses and workshops on fashion business and how to set up your own company.
The school is located off Brick Lane in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The nearest London Underground Tube Station is Aldgate East Tube on the Hammersmith & City Line between Liverpool Street and Whitechapel, and the District Line between Tower Hill and Whitechapel.
We aim to give students a taste of the real fashion industry. Our studio is also used by fashion designers, pattern cutters, stylists and consultants. You will be given insider information and shown tips and techniques as used in the industry that will save you time and give your work a professional finish.
Classes are small and informal and offer lots of one to one support to help build up your confidence. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and sociable.
