Our student-teacher ratios are exceptional, well above private school standards.Proven by our annual early childhood testings, students are able to achieve a solid educational foundation. Many of our young graduates are accepted in gifted programs around the nation.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) Montessori Education Programs:
We offer an individualized curriculum that is "child-centered". This allows each child to learn and develop at his/her own pace, reinforcing learning capabilities without ignoring signs of possible learning disabilities.
- Infant's program
- Toddler's program
- Pre-Kindergarten / Kindergarten program
- Lower Elementary program (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grades)
- Summer programs (during June and July)
School Curriculum:
Primary subject areas include Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Geography, Arts, Science and Mathematics. All lessons allow children to begin their journey from the concrete to the abstract through manipulation, experimentation and invention. A Montessori curriculum is designed to challenge students to integrate and synthesize information, identify and develop problem-solving and decision-making skills through critical thinking.
Lessons are matched to each child’s individual progress, therefore enabling the child to build their leadership and communication skills, by gaining self-confidence, independence, emotional development and academic achievement. The student not only becomes well educated, but also experiences a genuine joy of learning.
Activities that are included in the regular curriculum are:
- A “Spanish Immersion program”
- Computer instruction class
- An age-appropriate Yoga class
- Music lessons
- Zumba (Dance class)
Regarding extra-curricular activities, which is our “Enrichment Program”, we offer the following alternatives:
- French classes
- Chinese Mandarin classes
- Creative Movement classes
- Cooking and Nutrition classes
- Karate classes
Summer sessions (during June and July) are also available and include swimming lessons at the University of Miami pool, etiquette classes, arts and crafts instruction and on-site house field trips.
Our school is open year-round (12 months), from 7:15 AM to 6:00 PM. The academic school year runs from August to May. Throughout the year, we have many activities and events in which parents are able to participate. Also, during the regular year, Parent Workshops are held with the purpose of providing a more in-depth knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and method of education.
