The Language & Sport Academy:
The Language and Sport Academy offers expert French and Spanish tuition alongside sporting activities, in idyllic settings in both France and Spain.

Established in 2008, The Language & Sport Academy is the only internally managed French & Spanish language and sport school in the world. At the Academy, our aim is for you to enjoy yourself, make new friends and learn in a safe and beautiful setting, while appreciating a rich, new culture. We strive to offer the best possible French & Spanish tuition alongside top quality sporting instruction.

We aim to create a positive learning environment in the classroom, on the pitch and on the water. We want to offer students a unique experience that will help to empower them with the lifelong skills of learning a language and playing a sport in a safe and beautiful setting. 

Regulation:
Our camps are regulated by the French Department of Youth & Sport (DDJS).

Camp Philosophy:
Our philosophy is based on the assumption that all camp members come to have fun, improve their French or Spanish and improve their sporting ability. It is our job to ensure that we create a safe environment to make that possible. We encourage respect for each other, the language, the sea and the sport. All students will vary in ability on the water, pitch and in the classroom. We want beginners to enjoy learning with us and intermediate/ advanced athletes to enjoy improving with us. The instructors are always delighted to see newcomers to the sports.

- French and Spanish language modules focus on one topic and promote communicative proficiency, language & cultural awareness.

- The duration of each French or Spanish language class is 2 hours & the maximum number of students per class is 16.

- Surf instruction from surf instructors with international experience.

- Hockey coaching from world class players

Day trips will be arranged to nearby towns where camp members can check out the local shops and markets. Sea kayaking or archery will offer some variety to camp participants. A visit to the local Basque Museum also offers variety and a great opportunity to learn more about the regions culture.
