Since 1978 we have been organising six-month cultural exchanges for young children. Six-month linguistic & cultural exchanges for young children aged 9 to 13:
- Since 1978 we have been organising six-month cultural exchanges for young children.
- The two children spend a year together, 6 months in their own country and 6 months in their exchange partner's country.
- No child has ever had severe schooling problems due to doing an exchange.
- Your children's education and up-bringing is of paramount importance to you. You are ambitious for them. Give them the opportunity of having a wonderful adventure that they will never regret and never forget.

For the first 12 years we only did our exchanges with primary school children. Then gradually more and more children told us that they wanted to do a second exchange in another country, learn a second language, and have another foreign brother or sister. So we complied with their wishes. However it is easier for a 9 or 10 year old to do a successful exchange than it is for a 12 or 13 year old. A young adolescent is more complex than a 10 year old who has confidence in their new family.

- 70% of our exchanges are done in primary school.
- 25% in the first or second year of secondary school.
- 5% afterwards.

La Giraudiere offers customized French school trips to the Southwest region of France for British primary school students and American elementary school students. La Giraudiere is a small holiday hamlet close to the village of Brossac in the beautiful Charente region. Our school trips to France are designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the French language and culture.

Our programs are extremely flexible. We offer you the option of booking accommodation only, or a fully inclusive comprehensive school trip to France complete with meals and excursions. La Giraudiere can arrange a diverse selection of mix and match activities designed to meet specific curriculum needs, including historical, language and religious-themed outings, as well as sports and other activities.

La Giraudiere is easily accessible whether you travel by road, train or air. The Charente region is 370km from Paris and served by airports at La Rochelle and Poitiers which offer flights to and from destinations in France and Europe. During their trip, students will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful region of Charente, as well as the neighboring regions of Charente Maritime, Dordogne and Gironde.

International Language Camps, French Alps

• International Language Camps (ILC) provides a range of fun language and activity-based summer and winter camps for children and teenagers ages 6-17 from around the world.

• We offer holidays and vacations with a multitude of activities and a complete French and / or English language teaching program, all in the heart of the French Alps. Students can choose to stay for 1-6 weeks.

• Our summer and winter camps take place in Megève, a French ski resort in the Savoy Alps, close to Switzerland and Italy. The nearest international airport is Geneva which is only 75km away (transfers from Geneva airport are available).

• Our participants have the opportunity to study a foreign language by total immersion in an international setting with a multi-lingual team from all over the world. As well as French / English language classes, students can also take part in all sorts of sports including mountaineering, orienteering, water sports, skiing, snowboard, ice-skating, and more.

• Our campers become international citizens by living in a multicultural context with continuous interaction among peers, which naturally leads to the respect of others.

• All of this takes place in an environment which is friendly and secure, the essential building blocks of constructive and stimulating learning.

FIL - Français Immersion Loisirs

FIL is a French language immersion Summer camp in the South of France for Juniors aged 11 - 17.

Our 11-day or 14-day Summer programmes are entirely immersive, combining French workshops with a wide range of adventure activities, including canyoning, sea kayaking swimming and evening activities.

FIL is 5km from Saint Laurent de Cerdans, a rural village situated 60km south of Perpignan, in the Languedoc Roussillon region, close to the Spanish border. Participants can fly into Barcelona international airport or travel by rail to Perpignan.

Our groups are divided by age: "FIL Junior" (ages 11-15) "FIL Ado" (ages 15-17).
* 16/24 participants per group
* 2/3 French teenagers per group
* 2/3 experienced, enthusiastic Team Leaders accompany the participants from morning till evening/present at camp 24/7.
* All our Team Leaders are also native French teachers and they lead Camp life entirely in FRENCH.

Our Summer programmes priority = to develop oral expression through daily French practice. We encourage our participants to speak French all day long + French language workshops ="immersion totale".

We also offer tailor-made year round options for educational groups.

Based in Nice, on the Côte d'Azur, our school has been one of the leading French Language schools since 1985. Each year we welcome about 3500 students from all countries.
