Institut Savoisien D'etudes Françaises Pour Etrangers (ISEFE) located in Chambéry, Savoie in the Rhône-Alpes region in the French Alps is a University Institute which specialises in teaching French as a foreign language to adults from non-Francophone countries. ISEFE propose 3 trimesters of 12 weeks each, with 16 or 20 hours per week. Lessons generally take place in the morning. To complement its courses, ISEFE offers many cultural, sporting and recreational activities where French and foreign students can meet. We also offer three / six week French summer courses in June and July where students will benefit from the wide range of tourist and festive activities that characterise this time of year in Chambéry and Savoie.
Courses ISEFE
Enrolment on ISEFE courses entitles you to a Université de Savoie card, granting access to the library, sports centre, health care facilities, etc.
Three trimesters of 12 weeks: October to June
All levels from beginner to advanced.
Semi-intensive teaching programme: 15 or 18 hours or 20 hours per week
General French courses: 15 hours per week for complete beginners and lower-intermediate.
Certificate of Competence in French (intermediate level): 13 hours of general French + 2 hours of a module (French Literature, French for Tourism or French for Business)
Preparation for the DELF and /or DALF exams.
University Diplomas (D.U.) and E.C.T.S. points.

Specific courses
All year long ISEFE organizes intensive courses on-demand for students, young women training to be "au pairs", technicians, and those seeking to acquire the French language for their specialty.
The proposed themes are:
Academic writing skills (resume, commentary, syntheses).
Oral presentation skills (statement of speech, debate techniques, public speaking).
Placement of students at the appropriate linguistic level. Level B1 (intermediate level necessary for students to take university courses) or level B2 (level necessary for to complete course exams).
