Institut Savoisien D'etudes Françaises Pour Etrangers (ISEFE) located in Chambéry, Savoie in the Rhône-Alpes region in the French Alps is a University Institute which specialises in teaching French as a foreign language to adults from non-Francophone countries. With its 120,000 inhabitants, Chambéry is renowned for its quality of life and cultural offerings. It is also home to the University of Savoie. The city, situated amidst the magnificent scenery of the Alps, blends the charm of traditional architecture and modern structures. At the crossroads of the main trans-alpine routes from Lyon to Turin and Geneva to Grenoble, it is also en route to the most famous ski resorts in France. It is situated 10 kilometres from Lac du Bourget and 3 hours from Paris by TGV (high-speed train). Lyon is 100 km, and Grenoble 50 km, from both campuses. Geneva is 50 km from Annecy and 100 km from Chambéry.
ISEFE students have access to all campus facilities (library, sports hall, canteen, etc.) as well as ISEFE’s own facilities (notably a specialist library and multi-media room).
