There are attractions such as the coastline and sandy beaches at Les Sables d’Olonne, towns like La Rochelle with excellent dining (especially if you like seafood), and the fascinating waterways of the Marais Poitevin all within easy reach.
The Vendee weather is wonderful, and photographers and artists can enjoy the countryside with its varied and stunning scenery. The area is ideal for walking, cycling, golf, fishing or horse riding. The picturesque sea shore of the French Atlantic coastline, with its excellent beaches, is within easy reach by car and there is boating on the inland waterways of the Marais Poitevin.

French Immersion-Belle-Isle-en-mer

French Immersion is a French language school situated in the countryside in a small and peaceful hamlet (rural settlement) on Belle-Île-en-Mer, a French island off the coast of Brittany in the departement of Morbihan in the north-west of France, 14 km from the Quiberon peninsula. We are located 5 km from the harbour (Le Palais) and 4 km from the village of Locmaria (one of the four communes of Belle Île). It is 45 minutes by ferry from Quiberon to Le Palais.French Immersion provides year-round French language homestay packages for individuals or groups for all levels from beginners to advanced. Students stay with their teacher while learning the French language. The teacher, Michel, has been teaching French Literature and French as a second language, since 1982.
Beautiful sandy beaches and wild coast with magnificient cliffs are within easy reach of our school. Our students stay in "l'écurie", annex to the main house, which has just been renovated and includes a bedroom and a private bathroom. Relax and study French in our beautiful 7,000 square meter garden. Activities available on the island include kayaking, sailing and more.

Actilangue was established in Nice on the French Riviera in 1977 by Paul Ceccaldi, the Executive Director. He is responsible for all aspects of the program, and is on hand to assist and advise students. The school is located in the heart of Nice. The beach and the famous Promenade des Anglais are only a two minute walk away. The Actilangue language courses are conducted solely in French by experienced instructors. Students develop their oral fluency, converting passive knowledge into active and confident command through a variety of exercises.
