Hellenic Culture Centre, Athens:
The Hellenic Culture Centre located in the heart of Athens is an institution specialized in organizing Greek language courses for foreigners and educational programmes for adults. It was founded in 1995 and since then it has carried out its programmes in Athens, where it is based, and in selected venues throughout Greece and abroad.
Intensive and Extensive Greek Courses:
The curriculum is divided into seven classes covering all levels (Beginners Ι-Advanced II). Programme design is based on the curriculum of the Centre for Greek Language, on the description of basic level by the University of Athens and on the European Language Portfolio.There are also special courses for professionals who work with Greek language:
- Programme for Interpreters/Translators
- Three-Month Perfection Programme (it includes also Greek history, economic terminology, practice in interpreting and translating from Greek)
- Programme of "Katharevousa"

Easter and Summer Courses:
Intensive Greek language courses specially designed in order to address the educational needs of foreign students are held in Easter and summer, in Skala Loutron, Lesvos (Mytilene) Island, Aegean Sea, Greece. The courses are intended for:

• EBC Crete offers an internationally recognised and accredited, one month TEFL / TESOL training programme in Chania, Greece that will provide you with all of the skills you need to get an entry level job teaching English as a foreign language. • This intensive, TEFL certificate course is written to English national curriculum standards QCF level 5, and comprises at least 100 hours, with a significant part spent on supervised group teaching practice, peer group and individual teaching sessions.

Lord Byron Schools of Languages provides year-round modern Greek language courses in our city centre school in Thessaloniki in Central Macedonia in Northern Greece, approximately 515 km (320 miles) north of Athens. We offer special tailor-made courses in Greek for specific purposes, activities and entertainment during the week, excursions and visits on a weekly basis and much more. We also have an international summer school in Gerakini and Ouranoupoli, Chalkidiki in West Macedonia in Northern Greece. From Thessaloniki, Gerakini is 80 km (50 miles) and Ouranoupoli is 140 km (87 miles). Our summer school runs during the holidays with 4 or 5 hours Greek language tuition per day. All our teachers are highly experienced, hold university degrees and are bilingual.
