The Hellenic American Union in Thessaloniki & Athens, Greece, is a public-service institution with an international focus and strong community commitment, dedicated to providing opportunities for a diverse range of audiences to encounter and benefit from innovative educational programs and cultural events. The Modern Greek Language Program has been offering courses in Modern Greek to foreign students in Athens since 1957. Since then, every year, more than 800 students from approximately 75 countries join the Program. Among other services, the Program also offers methodology courses for teachers.
The Hellenic American Union’s Center for Applied Linguistics and Language Studies has been accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) for the Modern Greek Language Program.

How long do courses last?
Each course lasts one term. The non-intensive terms last 10 weeks (2 three-hour sessions), the semi-intensive terms last approx. 6 weeks (3 three-hour sessions), and the intensive terms last 4 weeks (5 three-hour sessions). Each lesson is broken up into fifty-minute sessions, with a ten-minute break on the hour. Lessons begin at ten past the hour.

The Hellenic American Union has locations in Thessaloniki and Athens, Greece. Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece, and is served by Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (AIA) located 35 km (22 miles) east of Athens.
Thessaloniki in northern Greece, is the second-largest city in Greece and the capital of the region of Macedonia. Thessaloniki is also a major transportation hub for the rest of southeastern Europe, and is served by International Airport Macedonia.

Anixi Learn Greek is a Greek language school located in Athens, Greece. We offer Modern Greek courses to students of all levels from total beginner to advanced and proficiency. We offer special tailor-made courses in Greek for specific purposes, activities and entertainment during the week, excursions and visits on a weekly basis and much more. We also have an international summer school in Gerakini and Ouranoupoli, Chalkidiki in West Macedonia in Northern Greece.
