New Hope International Preschool in Tokyo, Japan is an affordable, quality Christian preschool and kindergarten. School hours are from 10:00 to 2:30, Monday through Friday. Some of our graduates enter elementary school in the spring (Japanese schools), while others enter in the fall (international schools).

Rather than having a fixed beginning and ending of the school-year, we use three terms. Orientation is held at the beginning of each term (April, January, and September). Ookayama International School (OIS) in Tokyo, Japan offers an alternative to the larger international schools in Tokyo. The school offers distance learning programs for grades 7-12 (ages 12 - 18) and students must attend our school to participate in them. We provide a fully accredited American high school education which has helped numerous students go on to higher education in Japan and overseas. Distance learning allows for many unique opportunities not available in the more traditional school system.

Students are enrolled on distance learning programs at North Dakota Center for Distance Education or at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Independent Study High School. Graduation from OIS is not based on age or grade, but rather on credits earned.
