English Language Ireland is located in Carlow Town in the South East of Ireland. English Language Ireland is a family-run English Language school that commenced business in 2000 and has progressed to its present position by developing a business model based on Total Quality Management. We offer a wide variety of English courses for general use, business purposes as well as English and work experience placement for international students.

The Directors are Ruth and Terry Coffey who together have a lifetime's knowledge and experience in the area of education and care. Ruth is a fully qualified Montessori and TEFL teacher. Terry has a Master's degree in Training and Human Resource Management from Leicester University and is visiting lecturer to Carlow College, National College of Ireland and University College Cork. English Language Ireland is recognised by the Department of Education & Science for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language.


Location and Facilities:

 

English Language Ireland is based in Carlow Town in the South East of Ireland. Carlow Town is convenient to the major entry points into Ireland, with Dublin, Dun Laoghaire and Rosslare ferry ports all within a reasonable driving time of approximately 90 minutes. Dublin and Waterford Airports are a similar drive time. All international airlines fly into Dublin Airport, while Waterford Airport is served by a twice-daily direct route from London Luton.

DCU Language Services is the English language training centre of Dublin City University (DCU) offering English courses to adults (18+) all year round with additional programmes in the summer. Our school is located only 4km from Dublin city centre and 15 minutes by car from Dublin airport. Entry level to our courses is pre-intermediate and our classes are from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours tuition per week). We are a Cambridge testing/examination centre for FCE, CAE & PCE.
