Our Introduction Level Courses are intended for students without academic background on a specific subject area and offer a unique opportunity to explore a new creative environment. Students will learn from experienced and skilled professionals and will be taught how to research and present a creative idea. These courses will concentrate on experimentation within the creative design process.

Intermediate Level courses meet the needs of students with previous knowledge in that specific subject area who are keen on building upon this through an intensive and specialised training experience. Students will be immersed in a design environment simulating a professional studio, gaining profound insight into the technical components of the design process.
Selected visits to museums, companies, production sites and design studios during the programs expose students to the creative and cultural environment in Italy.
"A Focus On" Courses:
- Brand Consulting: Helping a Brand to establish or re-establish its product identity (Introduction Level)

Combination Courses:
Students are also offered the option of taking four weeks of summer courses combining two sessions: the introduction with the intermediate session. Students taking an introduction level program will be accepted into the intermediate level program within the same subject area, thus having the opportunity to further explore that specific field. Students with no background can apply for both introduction and intermediate level within the same field (for example: Introduction to Product Design can be followed by Product Design Studio). Students with a specific background can apply to any Introduction Level Course, as these courses are intended for beginners, therefore no specific admission requirements have to be met.
The Dual City Summer Sessions:
In addition to these courses, NABA will, for the fifth year in a row, run a program for beginners and portfolio builders in the fields of Fashion, Interiors, Product and Graphic Design with Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design which will take place in London for 2 weeks and then students will travel to Milan for the 2nd part of the course.
NABA Staff will be glad to help you find the most suitable summer educational paths and to indicate you the relevant admission requirements. For further information on any of the courses listed above, including dates and fees, please contact us quickly via our Contact Page.
