Ikoma Abacus Learning opened the first class in Vancouver BC in Canada 2004. We are offering after school weekly classes and summer camps in using abacus to children to teach them mathematics, mental discipline and to help them develop their right and left brain capabilities. Across the world children enjoy and benefit from learning abacus.

<Program and Advancement>
Every student will learn by own pace. Different level’s students are in the same class. But do not worry about that, we have enough skills to manage those classes. The Ikoma Abacus Learning calculation system has levels of grades similar to school. Each level is partitioned to give the student enough concepts to master before moving on to the next level. The nine levels constitute the basic program for mastering fundamental mental calculation techniques.
The average student will be able to complete the whole program in three to five years or shorter. Depending on the individual’s progress, some students have completed the basic program in a few months. Ikoma Abacus Learning System

For those aspiring students who want to attain additional skills, there are several programs. At the highest levels of Ikoma Abacus Learning, doing square roots, cubic roots and other complex mathematical operations can be all accomplished mentally. The highest levels of Ikoma Abacus Learning beyond the Advanced are called "DAN" Studies. They are the same as the Black Belt. The degrees can go as high as a 10th Dan degree. When a beginning level student enters Ikoma Abacus Learning, he/she will start in the Super Basic Program. After the student is entering basic program, the student achieves 70% or better, then he/she will be allowed to progress to the next level.

English in Canada - International Summer Camp

English in Canada - International Summer Camp is offering an English language summer program with a difference for children / teenagers ages 10 to 17 years. Our summer camp is based at the University of Ottawa, close to downtown Ottawa in the eastern portion of Southern Ontario, Canada, approximately 350 km north-east of Toronto.Each summer, over the past 30 years, 400 international students have enjoyed a unique learning experience. Summer camp participants will improve their English in a multicultural, fun setting, and will make new friends. Our language instructors, as well as activity instructors are university graduates with appropriate degrees. Our classes are limited to 15 students.
For many young students this will be the first time away from home. "Destination Canada" takes total care of its participants. They will be in a friendly and safe environment with 24-hour supervision and health care. Students will be picked up from and returned to Ottawa Airport. "Destination Canada" will make sure that all return flights are confirmed.

Tickle Creek Theatre in Calgary, Alberta is offering a musical performance summer camp for children aged between 5 and 8 years old. Classes will involve learning songs, fun choreography and staging, while learning the art of making their performance stand out! Our summer camp will be held for three weeks in July. Admission to the camp is by audition only. Skinner Creek ESL Guest Ranch in British Columbia, north of Vancouver, offers 2 unique programs designed for international students, one for ages 7-12 and the other for students ages 13-18. Main Street Community Services in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is a not for profit community agency. Using a pro-active and cognitive-behavioral approach to learning, our Social Skills Day Camp in Ottawa enables children, ages 5-14, to develop satisfying interpersonal relationships by enhancing skill proficiency in a variety of areas that foster social competency. All staff are university/college educated and trained (including dedicated Developmental Service workers, Social workers and Teachers) with several years of direct experience in this field. The Director, a clinical counsellor and a behavioural specialist are on hand always and have a Master’s level of education.
