Centauri Summer Arts Camp, Niagara Region, Ontario:
Centauri Summer Arts Camp is a specialist arts training camp for boys and girls aged 8 to 18, located in the beautiful Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. Centauri brings together young people from across the world and talented, experienced arts practitioners for an exciting summer of creativity, informal learning and fun!
We offer the following summer arts programs:
Theater Camps:
Our Theater Camps include acting programs that cover a wide range of styles and skills, from Stage Combat to Clown, Collective Creation to Scene Study, Shakespeare to Movie Acting, and we offer programs gear
ed to all levels, from beginner to advanced. At Centauri, campers choose one specialty arts program per session.
Dance Camps:
Choose from Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theater Dance, Ballet and Lyrical Dance!
Film Camps:
In our Filmmaking camps you learn by Doing! Campers can explore the world of movies and television from both behind and in front of the camera, working with guidance from teachers who are themselves film-makers and actors. While some programs emphasize technique, others culminate in the creation of short movies which are screened at camp. Participants write screenplays, scout locations, try their hand at jobs on a film set, learn about movie acting, and discover how to break into film and television through audition training and advice from those who have done it.
Art Camps:
The Fine Art Camps and Photography Camps offered at Centauri provides an opportunity to develop technique and explore creativity. In Fine Art, programs explore acrylics, watercolour, oils, charcoal, pencil and pastels, as well as clay, plaster, wire and soap carving. Photography programs include both traditional darkroom work, and digital manipulation, and our department has recently expanded to include graphic/design arts and animation. At Centauri, campers choose one specialty arts program per session.
Writing Camps:
Centauri's writing camps are a unique experience. Our writing programs cover all aspects of writing such as poetry, short stories, novels, screenplays and plays for the theater.

Courses / Programs
We will open through the summer !! Soroban helps build self-confidence and strengthens children’s ability to think critically and creatively. Children start as early as Kindergarten. The Soroban method helps one easily understand number concepts and is a comprehensive system for embracing concepts and high achievement in mathematics.
The use of the Soroban abacus uses a left to right calculation method, which makes quick estimation and rounding off possible. It improves the understanding of compounded numbers (the Soroban uses supplementary numbers for 5 and 10). The Soroban visually shows the concepts of decimal places and the progression of units by tens. The Soroban develops not only greater mental capacity, but mental calculation, which is the ultimate resource.
Japanese children proficient in the Soroban (Japanese parents often send their children to Soroban tutors for training) can eventually visualize the Soroban in their minds and do high level arithmetic without the aid of any calculating tool. The Soroban instantly accomplishes addition and subtraction when you placed the numbers on the abacus.

Arts by the Lake at Long Bay Camp, Westport

Located on the shores of Bobs Lake in Westport, near Ottawa, eastern Ontario in east-central Canada, Long Bay offers summer camps specializing in visual arts, drama, music and dance camps for children and teenagers aged 9-16. Our camp program involving drawing, painting, mask making, sculpting, photography, drama/theatre, rock guitar, African dance and creative writing includes instruction from wonderful and talented art teachers who are specialists in their artistic field. Your children will explore their creativity, learn new skills and make new friends, all in a fun, safe and beautiful camp atmosphere. Our summer sessions are designed for young people of all backgrounds whether they have experience or are just beginning to discover the world of art. Long Bay Camp takes pride in its well-cared-for facility that allows campers to explore nature in a safe, natural environment. Along with the cool arts program, campers will have opportunities to participate in field sports like soccer, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, to enjoy campfires, nature hikes, swimming and canoeing. We are just a short drive from Ottawa, Kingston, Montreal and Toronto.

Game Creation and Technology Summer Camp provides summer week-long programs for campers ages 7-16 during the months of July to August. Programs are offered in the areas of 2D and 3D Game Creation, Graphic & Web Design, 2D & 3D Animation and Video Editing. The camp runs in the Teens Computer School Office at 4544 Dufferin Street in North York in Northern Toronto. The camp runs from 9 to 5.30 Mon-Fri excluding holidays.At the Game Creation Summer Camp, our goal is to provide a FUN, INTERACTIVE & MEMORABLE experience for your child. Leaside Baseball Camp is located in Talbot Park, off Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto. Targeted to the fun loving baseball players of Toronto, Leaside Baseball Camp works on all the fundamentals of baseball.We are is proud to have a baseball camp for mosquito, peewee and bantam players. Leaside Baseball Camp aims at developing individual players and teams in the Toronto Baseball Association, Leaside Atom Baseball League, and Leaside Minor Softball Association. The camp is for baseball players and teams wanting to learn baseball, and, or increase the intensity of their game.
