Western Reserve Academy:
Western Reserve Academy, located in historic Hudson (30 minutes from Cleveland), Ohio, is a mid-sized co-educational boarding and day school for grades 9-12. Our 391 students, drawn from 25 states and 17 countries, have chosen Reserve for its fine academic, art, and athletic programs, and for the school's commitment to a set of fundamental values: excellence, integrity, compassion.
Rooted in the Midwest, Western Reserve Academy is a coeducational boarding and day school established in 1826 and set in historic Hudson, Ohio. Nearly a century ago, alumnus and benefactor James Ellsworth boldly stated WRA's goal: "If it is worth doing at all, it is worth doing well.
Western Reserve Academy should aim to be the best institution for learning in the world." Imbued with the spirit of Ellsworth's idealism, WRA's students, faculty, and staff work together in a residential setting to realize our mission:
A Western Reserve Academy education offers a transformational experience where students strive for excellence, live with integrity, and act with compassion.
Our Faculty:
The heart of WRA is its faculty, 70 remarkable men and women fully dedicated to all aspects of student life. They are many things: excellent teachers, mentors, scholars, athletes, artists and, often, lifelong friends.
Our faculty cultivates intellectual curiosity through a challenging college preparatory program; our students pursue a rigorous liberal arts curriculum and engage in opportunities beyond the classroom in arts, athletics, and service, ensuring growth in mind, body, and spirit.
WRA's close-knit community instills individual and social responsibility, while preparing students as citizens and leaders in an increasingly interconnected world.

Dorm Life:
Students need a safe, supportive and dynamic environment in which to learn and grow. WRA's nine dormitories provide constant faculty supervision as well as a close-knit "family" atmosphere.
Each dorm also has several student prefects who act as leaders, friends and mentors. All dormitories have common rooms where students can relax, share a pizza or watch a movie. "Dorm feeds" are especially popular.
