Pupils are drawn from a wide area within the Glasgow District, with a large percentage also coming from the Lanarkshire District and some from the Paisley District. Fernhill has seven school buses and the vast majority of the pupils travel by bus and are either collected near their home or take other public transport to a specified pick-up point. Fernhill School controls the bus transport arrangements.

Some of the starting points are Neilston, Paisley, Newton Mearns, Clarkston, New Stevenson, Bothwell, Airdrie, Hamilton, Carluke and Mollinsburn. Based in London, Periplus Home Education is a not-for–profit organisation that provides high-quality, accessible learning solutions for young people aged 11-18 in the UK and overseas. We offer live, on-line teaching to groups and individuals and can provide online tuition in individual subjects at any level or a full taught secondary school curriculum leading to examinations if required. In addition, we offer intensive, short-term tuition prior to examinations. We believe home education should be tailored towards each student’s own capability and needs.
