Fernhill School:
Fernhill School, is a Catholic Independent School for boys and girls, and stands in nine acres of pleasantly wooded grounds high above the City of Glasgow, overlooking the Clyde Valley and backing on to Cathkin Braes. Fernhill School provides a nursery and primary programme for girls and boys, and a secondary programme for girls only.
Pupils are drawn from a wide area within the Glasgow District, with a large percentage also coming from the Lanarkshire District and some from the Paisley District. Fernhill has seven school buses and the vast majority of the pupils travel by bus and are either collected near their home or take other public transport to a specified pick-up point. Fernhill School controls the bus transport arrangements.
School buses connect with various vantage points throughout Lanarkshire and Glasgow. Some of the starting points are Neilston, Paisley, Newton Mearns, Clarkston, New Stevenson, Bothwell, Airdrie, Hamilton, Carluke and Mollinsburn. Further details about their routes and pick-up points can be obtained from the school. Trains to Burnside Station also connect with a school bus.
