La scuola è stata fondata nel 1983 dalle persone che la dirigono ancora oggi, ed è riconosciuta dal Ministero dell`Istruzione, della Ricerca e dell`Università. Le lezioni sono tenute da insegnanti tutti laureati, specializzati nell`insegnamento dell`italiano come lingua straniera e seconda lingua e con una lunga esperienza nella formazione degli adulti.

Corsi di italiano:
I nostri corsi di italiano normalmente durano due settimane, ma è possibile frequentarli anche per una sola settimana o per periodi di tempo più lunghi. Le persone che parlano già italiano possono cominciare ogni lunedì, mentre ai principianti assoluti consigliamo di cominciare nelle date di inizio corso.
Al Sasso i corsi sono divisi in 6 livelli,
dal principiante all'avanzato, così come indicato dal "Quadro Comune di Riferimento Europeo delle Lingue" del Consiglio d'Europa. In tutti i corsi lo studio della lingua si affianca ad aspetti specifici della cultura italiano. - Corsi di lingua:

- Certificati:
Chi vuole sostenere l'esame per ottenere il certificato CILS dell'Università per Stranieri di Siena o il certificato CELI dell'Università per Stranieri di Perugia, può prepararsi presso di noi. Si tratta di un lavoro altamente specifico mirato al superamento dell'esame che si realizza solo con lezioni private.

The Centro Machiavelli was founded in 1978, and is located in the historic centre of Florence, just a stone's throw from Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio, in the area of Santo Spirito. This neighbourhood is home to artisans and artists and as it is just off the beaten tourist track, the economic and social characteristics has been left intact. The school is in Piazza Santo Spirito itself, one of the finest squares of the city. With its bars and outdoor cafés, its daily market workshops and restaurants it is a favourite haunt of Florentines and thus provides our students opportunity to meet them. The Centro Machiavelli was founded in order to provide a response to a growing world-wide interest in Italian language and culture. Communication is the basis of our teaching method.
