The main aim of the Institute is to teach Spanish not only the language but also the culture of Spain, in all its rich diversity: literature, history, art... Students can also follow Spanish courses in Business Spanish which include many areas of finance, banking, commerce, law, tourism, hotel management, etc.
Each course is taught by at least three teachers who have special experience in the different skills and levels, thereby ensuring that the classes are more intensive and enjoyable. In addition, outside the classroom our students can always count on the help and support of a personal tutor.
All language skills are included in our courses: theory and practice of grammar, communication practice, aural comprehension, reading comprehension, oral and writing skills. Each class has a maximum of ten students. This allows the teacher to evaluate individual differences, to develop creative classroom exercises in Spanish speaking (which involves understanding and interaction between the students), and also, through discussion and consultation, to fit the students’ requirements and expectations into the teaching/learning process.

Lodging with Spanish families:
This is the best way of both practising the Spanish language and becoming familiar with Spanish customs and habits. Families chosen by Academia BERCEO have been selected with the greatest care, live in the city center and their accommodation enjoys all modern conveniences, and you will be welcomed as another member of the family.
Apartments:
One option is to share an apartment with other students. One can choose a single -H.I.- or double room -H.D.-. The apartments have all the necessary comforts and all include heating, kitchen and washing machine. It is not necessary to bring sheets or blankets; only towels and personal belongings.
In addition to keeping our students fully informed of the host of cultural events (exhibitions, concerts, theatre, festivals, etc) that take place in Salamanca, Instituto Español de Salamanca BERCEO organises a wide variety of cultural and social activities for its students, including:

Madrid PLUS is a private school offering year-round Spanish language courses for all levels from beginner to advanced. Our school is located on la Calle Arenal (Arenal Road) in the centre of the city, two minutes from the Puerta del Sol, known as "kilometer 0" of Spain. We opened in 1990 and since then we have catered to over 2000 students from all over the world.At Madrid PLUS, the class size is between 6 and 10 students, so there is plenty of opportunities to participate in class conversations and to know your fellow students better. There are four different levels and five sub levels. Beginners, elementary, intermediate and advanced. We are adapting our levels to the European Reference Frame, so that we can offer levels from A1 to C1.
Students can join courses every Monday, after having taken the test (oral and written) to place them in the appropriate level. The evening courses are two days a week (One hour and a half every day), and in total three hours per week. Private classes are can be arranged to fit in with the student.
