Kaplan International Los Angeles Area:
Kaplan International offer a summer English school for teenagers and juniors on the attractive campus of Whittier College, just 15 minutes east of Downtown Los Angeles, California. The summer English courses are designed for 12-18 year olds from around the world who wish to learn English on an academic campus and enjoy year-round sunshine and a laid-back beach culture. Our summer ESL programs for juniors include 20 English classes per week as well as a full summer activity program plus excursions.

Summer English Classes:
Students are taught in international classes according to their level of English, which is assessed at the beginning of their summer English class.

Throughout the English course, each student's progress is monitored by our school's highly skilled teaching staff.

Kaplan uses a set of teaching materials specially designed for younger learners.

Our skilled and friendly teachers at our summer English school in the Los Angeles area will ensure that all classes offer learners a diverse mix of activities. We strive to provide English classes that are both enjoyable and challenging.


Summer Activity Program:
A minimum of three activities per week are provided during your summer in the Los Angeles area.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in optional excursions (for which extra charges apply) organized by the school to visit LA's top attractions. School activities and excursions may include:

Los Angeles has a warm and pleasant climate; perfect for participating in outdoor sports! Have fun with your classmates in the Californian sunshine.

Watching films in English is a great way to quickly improve your English, and its fun!

• Dance classes:
Learn a typical American dance and other new styles at one of our dance classes.

• Long Beach Aquarium:
Come face-to-face with, and even touch, the some ocean's most magnificent creatures at the Long Beach Aquarium with your classmates from our English summer school in Los Angeles.

• Disneyland:
Disneyland in Los Angeles really does have something for everyone - join an Indiana Jones Adventure Tour, meet Mickey Mouse or just try out all the amusement park rides.
